Congrats, Jacki, on achieving your goals. I, too, know about the weight gain ... I'm struggling with a 10-pound gain that I can't seem to shake. But I will not go back to what I was, and that's why I keep working at it ... just as you do.

We all need to celebrate our accomplishments. Congrats on three years of weight loss and keeping it off.

Jacki,

Congratulations on your success!  It's posts like yours and people like you that inspire so many and give hope and encouragement to others, especially people like me, waiting to have surgery.  Again, congratulations and thanks for being such an inspiration!

Jacki, I want to pat you on the back for the major accomplishments that you have achieved. You have been through a lot of things...a lot good and some not so good and you have gotten through them a true winner. You should hold your head high and be proud of those accomplishments.

I am so happy and proud to call you my friend....and someone that I look up to.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Congratulations Jacki!

I love reading success stories. I am 4yrs out and working on some of the same issues  you are. We are works in progress aren't we? For me I tried the not exercising game. . . . not a good one to mess around with. I not only don't lost after a while with no consistent "hard core" exercise I start to gain. I'm trying to get back on track and am starting to see a bit of success. I feel better mentally and the scale is starting to go in the healthier direction again.

I still play head games with the food. I feel better when I eat 3 meals and 3 snacks per day. The key to eating often is too not eat too much at one time. Still hard for me to let the cat out of the bag and not let it run wild!

It's a challenge here at my daughter's; but only because I make it one. As soon as the twins go to daycare tomorrow I plan on a vigorous walk of at least 3 miles. It's hilly, hot, and humid here so I'll perhaps do my exercising in shifts this week. My daughter is not consumed by food so if I overeat I have no one to blame but me!

Jacki, your story inspires me and I appreciate your kindness and willingness to accept everyone and their diverse views. That's one of my favorite things about OFF. Best wishes.

Congrats Jacki and happy surgiversary.

9 pound gain isn't bad but you will get those pounds off, slowly but surely!

You are one beautiful gal and a great success.
