It's Monday........what's new with you??
I nap for a bout 2-2.5 hours in the afternoon. Seems excessive to me, but apparently I need it.
Still having trouble getting in my calories. I ate a smart ones roasted turkey dinner in two sittings today. It was only 210 calories. I'm going to a support meeting tomorrow night, and then to the surgeon on Wednesday, so I'll discuss it more there.

Good morning Ruth and my OFFer's
Well, I'm pleased to announce that I think I'm going to live....LOL. I laid around most of yesterday, after Gary took me to Wally's for groceries. Took a nice long nap in the afternoon, and then had a great night's sleep. I'm still off today and tomorrow, so I should be good to go by Wednesday.
Looks like we've found a solution for the Old Dog getting us up so early. We've started letting him stay out in the main part of the house where he can sleep on his favorite part of the couch, drink all the water he wants, and has the doggy door available to him. He doesn't start waking us up until around 5:30, which is soooooooooooo much better than 3:00!!!! He is slowing down a lot though, yesterday he wouldn't eat or drin****il late in the day. I'm afraid this might be the year we lose the old man.
Sounds like everyone had a good weekend, and I hope it continues through out the week. Make each day the best you can.
Hugs

Good morning, Ruth (even though you are having surgery now) and my other OFF siblings. I hope that the start of the week is good for all of us.
I woke up yesterday and thought it was Saturday and then remembered it was Sunday and kind of felt depressed...but then I remembered that I was going to church so that brightened me up a bit.
My cousin's wife starts chemo today for her breast cancer. She found out she had that a few weeks ago and has been having tests and such and now the chemo begins. She has a treatment every two weeks for 8 weeks. They say it is a aggressive form of cancer but it is contained and not in the lymph nodes or other areas...so that is good.
My visiting nurse didn't call me last night to let me know when she is coming..I can't stand that...but it is someone different so they will call me and let me know they will be here in a half hour or an hour.
I go see my cousin's significant other this afternoon. She has a pet walking business and she would like for me to fill in for her because she is probably going back to work at the casino boat. I would do walks 3 times a day for about 30-40 minutes and she will pay me $10 a walk so that isn't bad at all. I am looking forward to this. And some you don't "walk" since they have fenced yards. I figure that the ones that I would walk would be good exercise for me. I will be killing 2 birds with one stone so to speak. I have been thinking though about the coming of what is going to happen with the I.D. doctor and how that is going to affect the job too.I hope that it doesn't make this a problem...I would love to have this job. I love pets...and mostly dogs...how I miss having a dog. But we know that Misty is a "only child" since she doesn't like to share anything...from food to toys to mom and dad.
It is going to be hot today. I guess it is suppose to be different from one day to the next...some cooler and some hotter and some wet and some not. I guess it is going to be a week of "You get what you get" and it could be worse. So I think I will take it.
I am going to the library this afternoon sometime. I am thinking it might be after I see Kathy for the job. I belong to the summer book club and it ends on the 31st. So I have to get the review in for these 2 books that I read. There are some good prizes being offered so that would be great..most of them are gas cards and with it going up that is something that I could always use. I have about 12-15 books entered..I got a late start.
I better get going, breakfast is calling. I have such odd times to eat and drink and take my vitamins with this antibiotic. I have to take it 2-3 hours before and after I eat, can't take calcium or vitamins 2-3 hours before or after taking them and I take them 3 times a day...so I have to fit things in when I can. I am not sure why they do stuff like this. So when the time to eat comes I have to grab it. ha ha I don't eat to much though since most of the time I get sick to my tummy when I eat. But seafood and chicken seem to be the best so far.
I am sending love and hugs to all and prayers are being said for everyone too. Have a great day and don't forget to scatter...

Hi Ruth and OFF gang,
Had a great weekend. Did the Bed and Breakfast thing Saturday night in Marshall's at the National House for Bed and Breakfast, we had a room looking right out into the fountain in the park across the street. Saw a wedding party taking pictures.
Went to the Ren Faire in Battle Creek, MI. Not a lot of people there but did a lot of walking.
Went to see a chick flick (hubby tolerated it) The Proposal with Sandra Bullock. I loved it.
Went to church and did some shopping Sunday. Was going to buy some school clothes for GD Rozi, didn't find any really good sales.
...and that's the end of my story! LOL
You all have a Blessed Day.

Dang, it is only 10 AM and already posts are going to page 2. I had a wonderful weekend. Didn't work Friday and spent the day with Hunter, we went to the botanical gardens and walked and walked. When his Liz got off work we went to my favorite Mexican resturant ,I had a crab enchilada and since I wasn't driving ordered a BIG Margarita, but I was so full I could only drink about a tenth of it, what a waste of $9. Saturday I cooked and cooked then took food to my moms on Sunday for her 81st B-day. We were going to do the wonderful "chores" thing that someone on here said they did for their mom. But just a few days before her b-day her micro wave died so we got her a new one and cleaned the kitchen, the guys took down some large tra****ems down for her and then we all ate and played games and took pictures all afternoon, such a nice time and she loved it.
Chuck finally went to the VA for some tests last week and they found he has a brain anurism. He refuses to have brain surgery and was ready to walk out. They did talk him into going on cumidin, anxiety meds and muscle relaxers, so now he is having trouble getting out of bed and just can't understand it. He is going to allow them to put in a filter so we shall see, he is so ornery he will probally have that brain anurism until he is 90 and die from chocking on a ham sandwich.
Boss is back from Florida...sigh..Have a fantastic day

Hi Ruth and my OFF family:
Ruth, I hope your surgery goes well. I'll be thinking about you.
I had my injection for my back this morning. Boy, the Versed really hit me hard today. I'm really sleepy. I got out of there really quickly and was home by 11. I was sitting here reading posts and whacked my hand on the keyboard tray on the computer desk, right where a vein comes in. Nice blood blister forming ... just great!
My weekend? It was just one day. I go back to work tonight. I did absolutely nothing yesterday but sit around the house (oh, I did laundry and ran the dishwasher). I had great plans to do some baking, but I was too tired and in too much pain. I really need the pain injection today. My right hip and knee really hurt, all the way down into my toes. I feel better today, just tired. Wish I had the day, but noooo! I have to work. The good news is it's only five days and then I get a three-day weekend (because I have to work the following Saturday).
I watched baseball all day and night (the Sox won finally) and then watched some of Walter Cronkite Remembers on A&E ... pretty interesting looking back on the '50s and 60s. Didn't sleep all that well, either. Took two naps yesterday (probably why I didn't sleep well at night, but I was so tired).
My brother thinks his job may be up before the end of the year, not in February as they told him. He'll still get about six months of severance, though. Still, it's hard to get a job that pays the same when you're 57.
Well, that's all for me. Not a whole lot going on. Have a good day.

hi everyone - I had a boring weekend except that my fridge came - it has room enough for a family of three. There are so many buttons, chimes, bells and whistles that it may take me a very long time to become acquainted with the workings of this behemoth. I wanted a large fridge with a freezer on the bottom and lots of room for the fruit and vegetables that I eat. Well, I got what I wanted and then some.
When the delivery men came for my old fridge, they found a furball the size of Texas - OMG - I couldn't believe that that much dog hair had accumulated in the year and a half that I have lived here! Oh well, it takes more than that to embarrass me at the age of 58! Better go - I am getting clothes ready to take over to the local St. V. deP. I'm making room in my closets for all the new clothes that I will buy after the surgery, which I hope is going to happen this fall.
Ruth - I hope that you are home and resting now after a successful surgery.
Annette - your new avatar is gorgeous.
Have a happy day. Thanks to all of you for answering my dilemma question from a couple of days ago. Margaret
