Thanks so much Nancy and please tell Lily Rose the same. I am glad that she likes to spin...tell her that I will take as many as she can give without getting dizzy that is.

I always felt a special spot for Lily Rose...I just love her name. It is so beautiful.

I want to save everyone the heartache of seeing me dance nekked too...they be screaming "My eyes! My eyes!"

*s*  she deserved a beautiful name because she has such a beautiful spirit..she fought all odds, being crippled..and all the advice I was given to put her down.  Today she is as healthy and active as any cat can be and the vet calls her Miracle Kitty and says she shouldnt be alive, having suffered a serious broken spine.  She loves to be spun around..but you HAVE to yell out "WHEEE!" or sh glares at you.  Then she gets up and wobbleds a bit and lays down on her side for more....lol.

And now you have had alot of challenges too, Brenda....just like our LilyRose...dont ever give up....you will surmount these obstacles and fly!! *s*

Brenda,

You now have a doctor who seems to care and know how to procede. Yes, you will get through this too.

Just think of the swinging chicken and nekkid dances on your behalf.

Special hugs for you

Annette, I have strange pictures now in my mind of nekkid people swinging chickens...oh what a sight in my head!

I have no doubt I will get through this because not only do I have a great doctor but a support group of OFF family to cheer me on. I am prepared to do what I have to do....

Hi Brenda,

When I saw the I.D doctor in the hospital everyone told me they have to be CRAZY smart to go into that speciality. I'm so glad you feel confidant in her. What is she doing for you? I gather she changed your antibiotics, but what is she doing as far as wound care? Are they treating the wound with silver nitrate at all? It's a miracle in wound healing.

Well, I can't swing either of my dogs, they both weigh too much but I can send positive thoughts and best wishes to you for finally being on the right path!

Hugs to you!

Susan

Susan, thanks so much for letting me know how smart these docs need to be to get into this profession...that helps with the positive feelings that I have already.

She put a medicated rope packing in and then a big old white fabric like bandage over it...in fact my whole tummy is covered in it. No one touches it for a week (I go see her again next Tuesday) and then she is going to take it off. She told me that if there is a lot of drainage, bleeding or pain to call her right away. So far there is a bit of blood..you can see the darker stain and that is it..and a bit of pain but I am thinking of the poking, prodding and digging that she did yesterday to get it to bleed. After all that I would be surprised if there wasn't something somewhere along the way. ha ha  I have my nurse coming this morning and so I am going to check with her on whether or not I should call.

She didn't change my antibiotic...probably since there is such a limited kind that I can take. So far so good on the Tetracycline. I finish that up on Saturday so then I am off one until that Tuesday. Those are a few days that I am so looking forward to.

Thanks for the words of encouragement and the hugs I can take both right now.

Thanks so much, Connie. Your thoughts and love mean so much to me since you have been going through your own share of problems. How are you feeling? I am so glad that you are getting out and about some...that helps to make you feel a bit better too.

I am sooooo looking forward to my daily 3 mile walks....I miss them so much. I had a lot more energy when I was out walking.
