The Monday What's New Revue
I have been out of my normal routine since last Wednesday. Tom's mom has been here since then and goes home tomorrow. It has been nice but very stressful. My eating has been not so hot, but not as bad as it could of been. I am not even going to step on a scale until I have had a few days of my normal eating under my belt. Ha!
The weather has cooled off which has helped with the visit immensely. Tom's mom took us out to Red Lobster one night. Very good, but not so good for my maintenance...I am just happy, to go back to work today.
Not too much to say, I am exhausted though and will be so happy to get back into my routine. My treadmill is right over her bedroom so I haven't done that either...
Well, take care all,
Cheryl
Had a great weekend. Found a travel trailer for sale. Offered 5,000.00 cash and he took it.
Yeahhhhh...has everything I want, a bed, a toilet, air, nice fridge, sleeps 6 if needed to.
It's a 2004 Cherokee Light, 24 feet. Looks new inside.
So it's to the park this weekend camping, going to take the grand-kids to the water-park.
I just couldn't get into tent camping, need a bed to sleep on! LOL
We had a huge double rainbow yesterday evening. It was so beautiful, went outside standing in the rain and taking pictures. Granddaughter Rozi was so excited to see this...and it was free!!
What a sight. All tha****er did wonders for our veggie garden. Now I don't have to water today.
We had smores with sugar free marshmellows & sugar free chocolate. Did a lot of walking & shopping & just visiting by the campfire. I really want to thank Brenda & Floyd for inviting us. Also Phyllis & John for putting up with us & our 3 dogs. I believe the dogs wanted to go home with them! Today unpacking & laundry & maybe a few grandkids.
George, the Tigers took 2 of 3 from the Twins this weekend. I was happy.

Good Morning OFF! I'm always happy to start anew. A new week, a new year, a new anything. Just like new! I wanted to nibble all weekend and that's not a good thing. So back to routine and the basics today.
We spent a wonderful overnight in Spokane attending a memorial service for my husband's uncle. He died in January. Kids waited til they could all get together this summer and rented a house right on Lake Coeur d'Alene for a week. Mike hadn't seen them in almost 30 years so it was a nice catchup time for them. I got a good long walk in along the Spokane River and before coming home we had lunch at Anthony's overlooking Spokane Falls. Cheryl, I thought of you. On a Friday and not crowded. What a lovely spot!
I have been consistent with my exercising at least. My neuroma in my left foot is much better and I just had to have one shot in it. Doctor didn't want to do another one as long as it was improving. It's improved enough that I have to remind myself which foot it was. That's good.
Today a car appointment to change the oil, tomorrow a haircut which is badly needed, Wednesday TOPS, seems like something each day. Hope to have enough tomatos to can a batch of salsa. A friend sent me her favorite recipe. Hope it turns out good as canning tomatos is such a messy endeavor; at least it is for me! I need to put down a tarp.
It is much cooler here this week. I know our hot weather isn't over but it's nice to get a break from the 100+ of the past couple of weeks. I'm out of here. You all have a great day.

George, sounds like your Rangers are going to make a strong finish. Good for you! Nothing like being a fan of a winning team. Last night we watched Sunday Night Football. We LOVE football, but haven't fallen in love with a new team since moving to AR. We're still staunch Charger fans, but unless they are doing really, really well, we don't get many of the games on tv here. So, we have Tennesee, St Louis, Dallas(not an option....sorry) or the New Orleans. I think we're going with NO since Drew Breese used to be the Charger QB. At any rate, football means cooler weather, beautiful fall colors, warm cozy clothes and Holidays. We love football.
The baby shower was certainly different that any I've been to. A few minutes of snacking on mini quiches and fresh fruit followed by an hour of the mom opening gifts, then POOF!!! Done! 90 minutes and we were out the door. No games, thankfully, no cake...thankfully, not really much fun.
Today I'm going to check out a neighborhood gym, go to the post office and then buckle down and clean my office and Saint Bella Land. Gotta get done and I've been putting it off too long.
So.....I hope eveyone has a wonderful day. Hugs to all
Susan
morning george and OFF...
well i survived the heat yesterday and its still muggy today!!! oh well cooler weather is on the way soon enough....just the thought of winter makes me depressed tho. worked 8-230 yesterday and when i got into the hot car the dam ac wouldn't work again!!!! i am getting so ticked at this car nickle and diming me to death for repairs that i am seriously thinking of trading it in soon!!! in fact tomorrow i am going to go look and see what i can afford!!!
talked to my sister yesterday and she is still in hospital til hopefully today she can go home again. she was admitted with another panic attack and they found another infection (uti?) and she also had her new port put in. her urologist mentioned not doing the stents in her bladder anymore...i guess her family dr talked to this dr and he (urologist) was against not doing them...said she needs to keep her kidneys as long as she can. so he will continue to change them when needed. also talked to mom and she is doing ok but my older brother is still having problems with his bp going up and down so low...otherwise he is doing ok.
i see the indians beat the white soxs...;-) sorry eileen...lol had to mention it...LOL we will be going to the captains game tomorrow night and hopefully it won't rain...its a free game courtesy of my work so thats good. just have to pay $5 for parking is all and our food if we want to eat there. all you can eat for $6 so rick can eat if he wants to.
