Well we only have 30 minutes to July 31st So Ill start the thread!!!!
I started child care for my neighbor's 8 yr old daughter. He lives in an upstairs apartment so it is an easy commute to work.. lol about 20 stairs. He leaves for work between 4:30a.m. or 5:30 a.m. I come upstairs and crash on his couch until McKenzie wakes up. This past week has been horrid. I'm not use to getting up this early and a few days I couldn't fall back asleep... like today. Then once she is up I want a nap..... sheesh. School starts this week so it will be easier. I'll have her in the morning and some afternoons. Dad should be home just as she gets out of school.
Not much else is going on. I'm not doing too well with food this past month. A lot of traveling and stress eating. Quantities are too large too. I look forward to school starting so I can get into some sort of routine. I'm going to try making a weekly menu.... (yeah, right) making it is easy; following through is another story.

morning carla and OFF family....have to lol at the july 31st....we finally get a summer in august and now it feels like its fall....woke up to a chilly 51* here...BRRRRRR!!!! but it sure will feel good in the food court!!! no more sweating like a pig back there!!! ;-) looks like the weather is supposed to be nice for next saturday for us going to the fair!!! YIPPPEEEEEE!!!!! i am so looking forward to going!!
well today rick should know if he got the job or not...keeping fingers crossed for him....its only part time but hey its a few extra bucks coming in every week!!!
talked to mom last night and my sister is still in the nursing home...not sure when she will be sent home. i think today is her last day for the iv antibiotic for her infection that keeps coming back. also mom said she thought today was garys surgery to have his eye taken out. i told her i wished him all the luck for a successful surgery and to keep me informed if she hears anything.
rick finally got ahold of a live person at the unemployment office and he IS supposed to get 8 weeks of back pay that he never got...i told him if he got that big chunk we would take a trip to cedar point for the day...he wants me to go there so bad and i am not sure if i can handle the BIG rides but would try one...maybe....LOL just seeing them on tv makes me scared to death...but like he said its all over faster then the wait in line...yeah easy for him to say!!!! LOL talked to phyllis last night and we asked if they would be interested in going with us and she said sure!!! so that will be fun!!! she also mentioned that she wanted us to come to her place for thanksgiving weekend and see the lighting of christmas lights and all the festivities...told her i would have to see if i could get that time off...maybe my vacation??? not sure. need tires on the car and if rick gets the big chunk of back pay he said he would get my tires. keeping fingers crossed for the money to come!!! all my savings are gone with him being out of work so long and no unemployment money coming in. will be nice to have some money again!!! just wish he would find a job that is full time and pays well....i know they are hard to find...jobs sure aren't around like they used to be!!! i am lucky i found mine when i did!!!
bought a bag of dog food the other night...got it home and rick said i should put the rest of other bag into the new one because there wasn't that much left in it...ok i did that...now i wished i didn't!!! why??? that food had ants in it!!!! now the new bag is full of ants!!!! do i throw that bag out now??? that would be throwing away $12!!!! sighs....i am just sick over that!!!!! sure didn't know we had ants in the place!!!! we cleaned everything out good and still they are coming from someplace!!!! we bought some home defence spray to put down and i hope that works fast!!!! we have ant traps all over (bandit can't get to them) and maybe that will help....i hate ants!!!! GRRRRRR
well i better get going i have been long winded today and i am sure i have bored many of you to death...lol hope you all have a great day...and if you are cold...keep warm!!! if you have heat send some our way!!!! ;-)

I had a terrible night sleep......like very little!!! Was wide awake from 2:00 - 4:45am and got up late at 7am but still went on my morning bike ride. I was dragging the first couple of miles but felt better after a while...I got my 12 miles in. Tomorrow will be the last time I can ride the bike for about 6 months (due to this surgery and the next one). I'll have to walk.....not as fun.......but still good cardio.
Just doing all the stuff I need to in preparation for surgery on Weds. Getting a bit nervous/anxious but not freaking out (yet).
Will be dropping off Buddy tomorrow I hate leaving him behind but I know this women takes good care of him.
Tomorrow I'll do some last minute running around, change the bed sheets, and go out to lunch......it will help the day pass.
Gotta go make some phone calls.......
Hope you all have a great day!

Yes this is plastics.....
FINALLY having all the hanging excess skin around my gut removed...... doing an extended Tummy Tuck with anchor cut and having the breasts lifted. I did a reduction and lift almost a year ago but after losing another 40 lbs since then they could use a little nip/tuck.
Buddy will go on vacation to the Paradise Palms Pet Resort......the women who owns the resort does a good job with the dogs, he gets his own pen indoors and gets to play outside 3 times a day.
Starting to count down the hours......

Oh no, I don't want to repeat August ... it's been a crappy month. I'll be glad to see it in the rearview mirror. Good riddance!
Well, Tevia had a little adventure, huh? Kittle was my escape artist ... he was always trying to get out and succeeding a lot. I guess it was because he was born outdoor and loved to get back out there. These two I have now, Scooter and Nettie, are perfectly happy to stay inside, no outdoor roaming in them ... especially Scooter. He's too scared.
Not much going on yesterday. Got two loaves of zucchini bread made ... the zucchini were very seedy and the second one was already soft, so I threw it away (oh well, they cost me 50 cents each). The bread tasted good, though. I'll cut some up and bring it into work tonight. I also dumped another litter box (I would have done a second one, but ran out of litter), scooped two of three and did laundry. So not a totally lazy day. Read, watched baseball ... typical Sunday. I'm giving up on the White Sox ... they're playing absolutely horrible baseball. I think I'll become a Giant fan (or Rockies, one of those two). The Giants were very exciting yesterday.
Now it's back to work again. As for the Labor Day weekend, no big plans. Saturday, I'm off, Sunday, I work (on overtime pay), Monday, I'm off. Kind of a broken-up weekend. So I'll stay home, watch baseball, maybe I'll make something special for dinner ... I have a couple of steaks in the freezer. Maybe I'll hit the farmers market on Saturday if I get up early enough.
Well, nothing else going on. It's chilly here (63 degrees) and feels like fall. For some reason, it was warm in my condo last night ... my neighbors must have had their heat on last night (I get some benefit from their heat) because it was 77 degrees in my condo and I was warm, so I opened up the windows last night. Now, of course, I'm cold.
Anyway, stay warm if you're in the MIdwest or anywhere that's it's not warm; stay cool if you're someplace it's hot ... have a good day regardless.
The only reason I would want to do August over is so summer could last longer....otherwise HELL no!!!
I was so busy all weekend I didn't even have a moment to check in with all you wonderful people. I hate that....I always feel so disconnected when I can't check in with my OFF friends!
I had a fabulous weekend and wished it didn't have to end. Dwayne and I went so many places and spent so much time with friends. It was hard to get back into the work mode this morning.
I got up extra early so I could get to the gym and do my two hours there. I was so tired out but it was a good kind of tired.
Thats about it for me...I will check in again later and see what else is new here on OFF.
Hope you all have a really good day.
Prayers to those in need....especially Linda S.
Love and hugs to all....connie d
Been busy here at work.
Weekend went wonderful with the Amanda/Russ's reception in honor of their wedding in May.
Lots of work but fun and had plenty of left over food.
Went to church on Sunday then home to mow the lawn.
We will be leaving Thursday after work up to Mackinac, plan to walk the bridge again this year.
Did spin class this morning at 0545, just love the new spin bikes. Then later this morning Juli and I did our 3 mile walk. Felt great to stretch the legs!
