Trouble I think

Last night we took the kids out for dinner at a nice place up here.  I ordered a dinner salad and Gary ordered prime rib and steamed shrimp.  I ate half my salad and probably 3 shrimp.  Gary brought the rest of the prime rib home.  I tried to eat a few bites for lunch and haven't been able to hold anything down since then, not even a popcicle.   I've taken a papaya tablet to see if it's a blockage and it'll dissolve by itself.  I can't even hold water down.  After I got sick after lunch I took a three hour nap, felt better and tried the popcicle...no luck, then I tried two slices of cucumber, no luck, everything kept coming up.  I don't feel bad now, but I think I'll wait until my breakfast protein shake in the morning.  Does it sound like a stricture or just a food plug to you?
Still unpacking, probably about 15 more boxes to go.  We made good progress this weekend!

if everything is coming up i would say it has nothing to do with your wls- i would suggest either bad shrimp or a flu......unless the lettuce got stuck???i didn't eat salad that early out but each doc is different.

just my thoughts- if you aren't even holding water down you could dehydrate quickly- so um-ER if this continues?

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

I don't think I ate meat for like four months and when I ate it, it was ground up in something really moist like.  And, my doctor didn't let me eat raw vegetables for an entire year.  He said that raw stuff, especially stuff with seeds, causes swelling and other things.  If you continue to throw up, call your doctor.

Jan,

I don't have any suggestions since I'm so early out, but please don't let yourself get dehydrated.  If you need to get to the ER, please don't be proud and go to get rehydrated.  Lots of luck to you.  Prayers coming your way!  Please let us know how you are feeling.

Jan, I would be contacting your doctor this morning if I was you. Just to be on the safe side at least. Let us know what happens and I am sending love, hugs and prayers your way.

Jan:

I didn't have raw veggies this early out, but as Margo said, every doc is different. If you're not able to keep water down, that's not very good. I'd call a doc or get to an ER. I know you're not near your doc anymore, but is there a doc in the box (urgent care) that you can go to?

Are you sure the water and food are even getting to your pouch?  How much water are you taking in before it comes back up?  when my pouch got choked off with scar tissue and Floyd had a food blockage, our food and water was actually just backing up in our esophagus and then coming back up. It was never reaching the pouch.  I needed surgery and Floyd needed a scope to remove the food.  Both were treated as emergencies because of dehydration. I was already there and Floyd was about half way.
Please call your doctor today, don't wait.

Jani,  It's the leftovers, I am 5 years out and still can not eat leftover food.  I think the meat/chicken gets dried out and hard to digest.
