Adenosquamous Carcinoma
Yep, that's the kind of tumor they found in my gallbladder.
Had it out last Thursday and all seems quite well. The surgeon called late yesterday afternoon to say he wanted to see me first thing this morning to discuss my pathology report. I knew that wasn't good!
The good news is they got the entire gallbladder out in one piece. The tumor had not grown completely THROUGH it. They are examining it further to see how far IN it went.
The bad news is, the liver sits right next to the gallbladder and the tumor might have spread to that. I go to Dr. Zervos at ECU on Friday to find out if that happened. If it did, I will need a liver resection!
Oh happy day!! I am thinking positively!
My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen
