in Ohio, it's Tuesday...so what's new??

Hi it's Tuesday here too.
Just doing some planning as I have company coming for dinner tonight and tomorrow night and then doing family Thanksgiving on Monday.
Hope all goes well for Margo and Michael today.

Good morning OFF family and friends.
Margo, keeping you and hubby in my prayers.

I'm sitting here drinking my Pumpkin coffee. Work is busy, giving flu shots this week to employees and volunteers so I'm keeping track of inputting the data on my volunteers.

Big surprise...My hubby and I are going on a Caribbean cruise in Nov. for 9 days with friends. Hubby's not too happy about going on a cruise but when he gets on the ship, I know he will relax and have fun. Plan on getting the scope patches and over the counter antivert. This will be for our 1st wedding anniversary one mth. early and our Christmas present to each other. It will also be a gift to me for a job well done getting to my goal size.

We used to be big deep sea fisherpeople and always carried Bonine(OTC) with us in our tackle box. It doesn't make you dopey like the other stuff. If you're really troubled with seasickness, take one the night before leaving, then one each morning (24 hr med). It's amazing stuff.  You might want to check it out.

I'll get the Bonine. I don't want to be dopey!! Nor do I want hubby to be seasick. He's never been on a cruise.

We used  to watch the tourists turn green on the boat. If one was really bad we'd offer them some Bonine and in about 30 minutes they were right as rain. It's much better to take it as a procaution, though. Sure wouldn't want to mess up a wonderful trip like this!

Okay now for sure I'm getting Bonine!

I bought Bonine on the ship and it really did work.  I also used the pressure point things that you put on your wrists.  The first cruise I was on I used these, the second cruise I used the Bonine.  Both worked well.  Have fun!

Need to be on the down low today.  There is a board meeting today with board members roaming the halls.
Margo, I pray, so that is what I'm going to do for you and Michael.  I just spent two years nursing my husband through a hip and knee replacement and now he's saying maybe the other knee needs doing.  We thought we were to the point where we could get back to traveling around and his being able to walk for a bit.  Oh well, such is life.
I went and had a fleuroscopy last Friday and the results were my lap band is fine, I didn't wreck it so now it's just a matter of giving myself a kick in the a$$ to get back in the groove of eating properly and exercising.
Going to upstate NY to see the grandkids on Friday.  Will get to hug and meet my newest granddaughter.  I made pillow cases for each of them.  On the upper hem I appliqued their names.  Inside the lower hem I put a tooth fairy pocket (or just a secret compartment).  I got pillows for $2.50 ea. at Walmart.  WooHoo so I can give them the complete package when we get there.
Hubby is away at a building officials conference until Thurs. so I am raccoon eyes now.  Not sleeping well.  Why is it I hear every noise in the house while he is gone but don't notice it when he's here? LOL.
Going tonight to help my sister with her college economics homework and have a cup of tea.

Morning all,
Prayers have been said for Margo and Michael....and everyone else who might need them.

Did a bit of shopping at Wal Mart already, then stopped at the foot doctor to pick up two pads for my toes that still curl under.  Three months now since this drop foot problem happened and the going is sure slow.

Had 7 people and a spouse come to support group last nite.  I don't know where all the rest of the group has gone.....they just don't come back anymore....a little discouraging.  Had a post op who is doing fantastic with her new gastric sleeve, a pre-op who is having RNY tomorrow, and a lady in process of getting approved....so good for them in coming.  Then I have 4 or 5 regulars who come to every meeting and I am so thankful for them.  My young 20ish gal who had gastric sleeve in February has lost 121 lbs. and looks fantastic....ah, to be that young again.  Going to make a few calls and find out why ppl aren't attending.

It's rainy here again but temps are to get into the low 60's.

Good morning Margo and everyone.....

Margo...my thoughts and prayers are with you and Michael today. I will be waiting to hear how things went at Michael's appointment today.

Prayers needed for my daughter Carrie....she is having a lump removed from her breast on Thursday. Her doctor feels that it is probably nothing ...but I worry anyway...that is what moms do!!

The Vikings won over the Packers last night and I am a happy girl. What a great game! Now I have to keep cheering for the Twins!!

I got a flu shot yesterday....I have been itching like crazy. It started yesterday afternoon and it is still going on now. I took Benedryl...that has helped some...ICK!! I never had that reaction from a flu shot before. I wonder if I should mention it to my doctor....what do you think??

I best get back to work for now....I will check in later.
