A Happy Thanksgiving Thank You

Hi all
It's Thanksgiving here in Canada, and I am leaving soon to enjoy turkey and all the trimmings with friends.  I may over indulge a bit as this will be my last holiday feast before the RNY.

I am thankful for many things in my life - my family, friends, job, dogs, students, ability to travel, etc.  However, one thing that I am very thankful for that I don't  discuss much with others outside this site is my family here on the over fifty forum.  I am grateful that I have all your posts to read daily  -  I pray for you, I laugh with you, I feel hurt for you and I always enjoy the contact we have even though I don't post very much.
So...  I wanted to say thank you to all of you on this wonderful Thanksgiving Day

Happy Thanksgiving to you too! May you enjoy dinner but try not to fall to hard with the "Last Meal Syndrome" Next year you will be able to eat, just small amounts.

Happy Thanksgiving to you too, even though I am running late as usual! I hope that you enjoyed your dinner and your time with family and friends. That is one of the most important things in life...family and friends. I feel so sorry for those who think they can get through their life without anyone but themselves

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Happy Thanksgiving Day to you ... I remember spending a Thanksgiving Day in Canada, in Saulte Ste. Marie, just over the border, and took a lovely train ride into the canyon from there. The hotel I stayed at closed the restaurant for their "Thanksgiving Day" feast but otherwise was very nice to us ... gave us a box lunch for the train ride (part of our package).

There's so much for which I am thankful these days; lately I find myself losing friends to death and wondering where all my friends are going. I can't lose so many friends. But then I find new friends here, and that is indeed a blessing.

Happy Thanksgiving!  I feel so blessed this year more so than last year.   Family and friends are good and my health is so improved.  I wish the same for you.  Count your blessings as well as the calories.  Don't go too hog wild, but enjoy.  This year will be my first post op Thanksgiving.  It should be, ummmm....... interesting.  I have always over indulged on Thanksgiving.  I look forward to having my meal and not feeling bloated and disgusting.
