Tuna,

A great big Welcome from the Joisey girl, who is really a native New Yorker, who now poses as a Joisey girl. . .

Anyway, glad you jumped out of lurkdom and joined up with us.  We are a bunch of friendly folks who share in one another's journey from Fluffy to Healthy and by viture of that have become our own brand of family, even with the occasional squabble (difference of opinions) that go along with family members, we even manage to a get together somewhere or another on occasion to meet who we can in person and I personally can say that the people here that I've been privileged to meet are as wonderful in person as they are on here!

I started this journey because I wanted to be healthy, avoid the health issues that are prevelant in my family with obesity factors and to be able to enjoy my grandchildren and tomorrow marks my 2 year surgiversary and I can tell you, the joy of being a grandparent today is so awesome, I can now get on the floor and play horsey, or chase them around and play hide and seek, I can sit in their chairs and play in their playhouses, there are no limits to what my life is like today, other than the ones I place on it and from the sound of your post, you are there.  So again, welcome and looking forward to hearing all about your life as we get to know you!

Best wishes, Laureen

Welcome.  Time to stop lurking and join us.  I think this is a very caring and non-judgmental group, or at least most of us are!
I know what you're saying about how good you feel.  I keep thinking of my weight loss so far as a bag of dog food.  Who in their right mind would carry a 50 pound bag of dog food with them day in and day out?  I've got to have been really dumb not to realize how good I could feel after just losing 50% of my extra weight.  Everything is better, walking, bending, sitting on the floor and being able to get up without assistance.  My son and DIL are going to present me with my first grandchild, Joshua in December.  Now I'll be able to do everything with him.  I'm so excited.
Glad to see a new face on OFF.  You'll love it here.

Hello and welcome to the board.
Great group of people here....they even let me a non-WLS person play in the same sandbox with them.
