My mom died today
There is nothing that makes us ready to lose our Mom. What a lovely, gentle tribute you wrote of her. You are in my thoughts today. Take care.

Jo,
So sorry. Losing your mother is very hard. I know. There are no words that can take the pain away. I hope you find peace within yourself and those around you.
Take care

Jo, you wrote such a loving and heartfelt tribute to your Mom and I know that she knew just what you wrote. Mom's and Dad's are the first people who love us unconditionally and the pain we feel when we loose them never goes away. We adjust to the difference in our lives without those that we love.
My Mom passed almost 7 years ago and suffered from dementia also. That nasty Alzheimer's may have thought that it won but like you, I know that my Mom heard me and knew that I was there. I know that she heard me tell to go to Dad, that it was her time to be with him now. My Dad died a long time ago, in January it will be 40 years. I told Mom that she was apart from Dad for a long time and I know that he is going to be there for her arrival and then they will both be complete again.
Know that my prayers are being said for you and your family during this difficult time in your lives. Please remember that we are here for you whenever you need us.

Jo, saying I'm sorry hardly seems like enough, but it's all I've got and it's what I'm feeling for you. You were a marvelous daughter to travel to see your Mom each week during her last days. Many of us understand the loss you're feeling as we too have lost our mothers. Remember the good times and hopefully some funny times. Not one of the major movers and shakers of the world but a quiet gentle woman with a lot of small successes through her life, a sweet lady who got much of her joy in her kids accomplishment. This sentence also describes my mother. I also got to tell my mother I loved her before she passed. I think that was very important to both of you.
Peace will find you.
