in all of my packing and purging; i have found two very "favorite" sweatshirts that i thought were gone...looking at the tags, one would pitch--we argued here--they are the most comfy and forgiving and comforting things i own!!!!!!!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

I never wore pajamas until after my WLS.  And my wife always wore pajamas and flannel gowns, etc.  Now she can't because she gets so hot.  My side of the bed has a cover sheet, a comforter, and a blanket.  Her side has the cover sheet only.  Go figure.

Hi George and OFF family,
I'm at work and it's busy...when will it slow down???? LOL

One of my volunteers died and I have to go to the funeral today at 11am. I will miss her a lot but she had a wonderful full life and I will celebrate her life with a smile on my face!!
This is hard part of my job. Saying the final goodbye to my seniors that volunteer.

Sadness seems to creep into my soul during this time of year. Holidays are hard for some of us aren't they? They have always been hard for me. Times like this I really miss my mom and dad. I feel like an orphan and I'm almost 54 years old. I guess we always want our parents with us.
Now that I'm typing this, I'm smiling...I like to think when I think of the ones that have passed on thoughts fly up to them where ever they are and then they smile down on me and everything is all right again!!!

I'm okay now...thanks for letting me type this. May all of you have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful day. Blessings to all and hugs too!!

I received my Christmas card from you and Mary yesterday, George and thank you very much.  What thoughtful people!!
I send less and less Christmas cards each year and really am starting to feel guilty about it.  It's not because I don't care, it's just procrastination, old age or something.  haha
It is bitterly cold this morning.  Minus 25 degrees with a windchill of minus 45 degrees below zero. Needless to say, I do not plan on going out of the house today if I can help it.  I have all gifts wrapped and under the tree, goodies and baking all done so what I could do is do some house cleaning OR just goof off and curl up with a cup of coffee and a good book.  Time will tell which thing I choose to do. haha.
Our Grand daughter has her Church School Christmas program Wednesday night so we will attend that.  I always love those programs and those darling children.  'Tis the reason for the season you know.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day and prayers and good thoughts to those in need.

In the past, if we sent out 20 Christmas cards, it was a lot.  This year we did 400.  It was Mary's labor of love.  She started making them in August.

My first post there, re: cards was for George!  Sorry.

I'm doing well.  I weigh in on Tuesday and am down 4 more, making it 60 pounds.  I just can't believe it - - week after week.  I have to be careful now, with all the treats around, I take one of these and a bite of that and I know it can add up.

I don't know about cookies yet.  I love to bake and always have done Christmas cookies, but haven't decided if I'll just do less or skip it altogether.  We'll see.  We had fun making pictures of our dog for our Christmas cards.  I can't get around to those until the weekend - way too busy with social stuff this week.  Dinner tonight for some friends, tomorrow night meeting WLS friends at Eddington's (a soup restaurant), Thursday an art home show for a friend...  it's just wild.

Hope everyone has a good day.
Mary
