hi karen...i use tylenol arthritis for my pain...helps alot...give it a try see if it helps you out. i also use the muscle rub cream from the dollar stores. costs a buck and works great!!!

I use regular tylenol and tylenol PM. . . I have tried the tylenol arthritis but not recently. I'll pick some up. I use something called Blue Goop or simple Blue Stuff that is a rub on product. I get it at the health food store. It works good but I have so many areas that hurt that I'd need to take a bath in it to cover everything! Thanks for the input. I'll visit my local dollar store too.

Be careful on the Tylenol arthritis ... it was recalled recently. Check the fda website. I use Biofreeze ... a little pricely but really works well. I get it from the chiropractor but you can get it from health food stores. Doesn't leave an odor so I can put it on before I go to work and no one knows. Really is the best stuff I've tried. Comes in a roll-on too so you don't have to get it on your fingers (also a spray).

I know all about hurting all over ... still have pain in my right knee. I don't think that's ever going to be right. I go back to the ortho doc tomorrow. We'll have a talk. I have good flexion and range, but still have pain.

Thanks Eileen. I've used Biofreeeze too. I just hurt in most of my joints. Guess I'd like to be able to use Aleve and I can't. It used to do more for me before knee replacement than anything but it's an anti-inflamatory so that's out. Like I told Judy I'd need to bathe in the topical stuff I have so many aching places!

Yeah, I know the feeling ... only thing that works for me is Vicodin, and I have to limit myself on that. Somedays it's not enough and even ice packs, Biofreeze and Vicodin doesn't work. Then I just cry and Scooter purrs me to sleep (and I'm being serious here). And that's after the knee replacement. I kinda wish I never had that done. What a big mistake that was.

Had a great holiday with lots of family, friends and of course lots of food.  Most was WLS friendly and based on holidays pre-WLS I did great!

It is COLD in Texas even for this time of the year!  I haven't been outside without a wool coat and layers since before Christmas.

Catching up on work. Plan to go to the gym after work. It's either spin class or water aerobics for me.

It's cold, cold and cold here in Kalamazoo.

Went to see Avatar movie and loved it. It was awesome.

Had support group on Saturday and it was a good one. Discussed emotional eating and normal eating.

I feel like I'm just droning on and on about difficult things lately, but sheesh... 2010 has started out tough.  Sorry about the no picture in my avatar!  I tried changing it to a new one, and blew it!  I'll work on it tonight.

I feel like I'm trapped inside!  It is so damn cold in Minneapolis, it's unbelievable.  Down to well below zero in the morning and barely gets above zero during the day.  And there is icy snow piles everywhere to negotiate.  YUCK!

The Dialysis clinic is still on Holiday hours, so they were closed today, so we got up at 5;00 on Sunday to get Michael there for his 6:30 a.m. treatment!   14 below zero.  Plus he wasn't feeling good and they said his temp. was 101, so they called his doctor, took blood samples and put antibiotics in an iv bag.  He is still really sick today.  Since we both had both flu shots weeks ago, I'm thinking he picked something up in the hospital last week.  Who knows?

Anyway, we missed a party with friends and stayed home in our warm house.  At least that is a good thing!  I shouldn't complain  - - I have everything I need.  Food, shelter, and lots of love.  That's what counts.  But those of you who talk about relocation to warmth - I'm with you!!

Oh, I hear ya about white-knuckle driving in the snow. I had an episode a few weeks back ... horizontal snow at 2 in the morning, couldn't see anything and the guy in front of me kept braking (which was really scary) ... going 20 mph on the interstate. Snowing really hard and blowing, too. Plus it was icy. Took me nearly 45 minutes to get home, when it usually takes 15 minutes. I was so happy to get home. The guys going to Muskegon needed nearly two hours to get home.

Just had a little scary episode here ... Had a bowel movement and it was bloody ... don't know if Mr. Polyp is back (sorry guys) in my cervix ... seem to get one once a year and that's what's causing the blood or something else, but it really shocked me. If it continues, I may call my gyne and ask her about it, since this seems to happen often enough and I have had some pelvic pain lately.

Well, I need to get in the shower and get ready for my hair appointment ... this mop is a mess and about two inches too long. Also called in two prescription refills this morning because I was out. Had to pick up Prevacid OTC to take the place of Nexium over the weekend.

It's snowing again here but the sun is also out so I don't think we'll get much but you never know. Anyway, have a good day.

well the lake effect warning is still going til 7 pm now...and it IS FREEZING!!!!!!! BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR lots os blowing and drifting snow out there and the roads are slippery!!!

went to therapy this morning and they first put me into a stretching thing and stretched my back and pelvic area. felt pretty good!! then they put heat on my back for about 5 minutes then i had some vibration things for a massage for 15 minutes. took about 20 minutes for that to stop tingling!!! she told me i need to come back next monday morning for the MRI results and also a nerve test. she is combining the 2 so i can pay for 1 visit instead of 2. dr wants me to come back for probably 6 more therapies costing me $25 each time!!! where do i get this money from????????? sighs

trying so hard to start this eating and drinking right and not doing so well....makes me so mad at myself too!!!! i had no problem before surgery to stick to the plan so why can't i do it now??????? but my new years resolution was to remember to take my vitamins every day...well that went out the window because i just thought of them and here it is the 4th already!!!!!!!!! someone kick me in the pants please!!!!!!

took the tree and all the decorations down last night....wanted to do that wednesday but NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! mr clean wanted it done NOW!!! sooooooo i took it all down with a vengence!!!! just the furniture needs to be rearranged so i wonder if he will do that while i am at work today. wish he would get called back to work or find another job!!!! this him being home all the time really sucks big time!!!! maybe i am jealous that he can relax all dam day and i work my butt off!!!! who knows... :-(

well i need to get to the bank and also pay my car insurance and then off to work. have a great day and be careful out there!!!!! and yes i also want to move to where it is WARMER!!!!!  BRRRRRRRRR
