It is Monday January 18th 2010 What is up your sleeve?
Today finds me really wanting the day off -- I have so many house things to do that didn't get done this weekend.
We went to my brother's Christmas party (late because of snow) and it was so great to see everyone. I got so many compliments and felt so good. I want to keep on succeeding and reach my goal. I feel so great and people are noticing the weight loss - YAY!
DH wasn't feeling well over the weekend, so he laid low. Yesterday morning, we went to the grocery store and then we watched movies. With all the rain and nasty weather it was a great day to just chill. I did some laundry in between.

Weekend went by way too fast. I did go work out Saturday a****er aerobics and did my walking. The weather has been nice here so I'm not complaining at all.
Hubby made homemade cookies last night and I ate 2...well at least it wasn't 12!!
Today it will be spin class and tomorrow I will miss work and gym tomorrow, more on my "crisis" when I can talk about it Wed....Tomorrow can't come and be gone fast enough for me.

I got up way too early today ... at 6:30 a.m. ... woke up several times last time sweating and had to change out of my long winter nightshirt into a cotton nightshirt that I use for summer because I was too hot. This is happening too frequently now and I don't like it. I'm already on HRT so I shouldn't be flashing. Then I start shivering, too. I turned down the heat last week thinking I had it too high (I have flannel sheets and a flannel comforter, and I like it a little cool so I can bundle up and save on energy), but even then, I was too hot. Don't know what's going on with my body. And no, I didn't have a lot of carbs before bed ... I had a snack of peanuts and raisins ... a dixie cup of peanuts and a single serve box of raisins, so I watched my portion size.
I watched the football games too yesterday, and at least the Jets-Chargers game was exciting and entertaining; glad the Cowboys didn't win. Spent a lot of time taking down my Christmas stuff and almost have it all down. I was happy my ceramic Christmas tree fit well in my new plastic tote with the wheels. I was also able to get the two battery-operated trees that I bought on eBay in there, too, easily, and then fit everything in my front bedroom closet. My living room is getting back to looking like normal (sort of). I put the Native American nativity in a plastic tote that I bought also, so I can get rid of the cardboard box that was in. So if I have to move, everything is in nice boxes now.
I have been corresponding through Facebook with this guy in California. He contacted me ... I don't know if he knows a friend of mine or what, but he is a widower with a 12-year-old and decided I looked nice and like someone he wanted to know. We've messaged back and forth a couple of times. Don't know where this is going yet, but pretty soon I'll tell him I've had WLS and that will probably end it. I've already told him I want someone like my dad who will cook and clean for me. He didn't mind that one.
I have an appointment today with my psychologist and then I may go see "Avatar" ... haven't decided yet. Depends on how my knee is feeling. Right now, it's not too bad, but sitting two hours in a movie will aggravate things. Plus, I'll have been sitting for an hour at my appointment with it bent, an half hour driving there, an half hour driving back ... or about that ... so that's four hours ... like I said, I'll see how I feel. My back is also not real happy this morning. Probably because I didn't sleep all that well.
Well, that's all for me. It's nice to have a day off. It's really gloomy but 32 degrees so maybe I can get the outside decorations out of the ground. I'm surprised the condo police haven't complained. I haven't lit them up for a week at least.

I know, everyone is happy to have all these days off. Christmas, New Years, MLK. But each day off means a day off from my radiation. GRRR. I want this to be OVER so I can go back to chemo and get THAT over with!!
A grandson slept over last night. He and Grandpa stayed up watching some movie on TV. I go to bed about 7 every night now. Just can't keep my eyes open. Another reason I want all this treatment over with so I can go back to a normal sleep routine.
Nothin' happenin' here today. I'll do laundry and get my few things ready to take back to G-ville. I mainly just bring my pills and pillows home. I need to take up a few more grocery supplies this time. Our son also leaves tomorrow. But he'll be gone 8 months. We will miss him SOOO much. He does so much for us.

morning carla and OFF....
foggy start today here but its lifting so thats good...temps mid to high 30's. been nice last few days and snow is about all melted away now...heard that by next monday we will have a winter storm here...will wait and see if that happens....just want it to be nice and warm again so sick of being cold all the time.
worked all weekend and was pretty busy. was upset yesterday because i never got my lunch. was told at 12:30 that soon as one cashier and then the door person had their break i would get my lunch. OK that would be about 1 i would get my lunch....that came and went and soon it was 2:30 time for me to go home. never got my lunch. went to punch out and saw the personnal manager eating her lunch...i blasted her about my not getting MY lunch break. she said she THOUGHT i got it... i said NOPE...i can understand not getting my 2nd break sometimes but lunch being missed for me is a BIG NO-NO!!!!!! i needed my protein. she said she was sorry and i WOULD get paid for no lunch. i walked out pissed. this has been happening over and over and its not right. its not just me that is passed over on breaks and lunch. i am thinking of calling the HR man and talking to him about this and see what can be done. it just makes me mad they can get THEIR breaks for smoking and we in the food court are always passed over like we aren't even there!! just had to get this off my chest...
one of ricks BMX buddies is here in town for a job interview and will be stopping over to see us tonight.
got my new cell phone yesterday. its a verizon LG. i love it. also got 2 free accessories for it also. he asked me if i wanted a new phone case and i said nope i had one already...i showed it to him and he said oh NO!!! LOL he isn't an ohio state fan at all...he is a MICHIGAN fan....YUCK!!!!!!!!! LOL we had a few jabs at eash other over this and had a good LOL. so i ended up with 2 chargers for the car. ricks phone is different hook up so thats why i got 2. now we can charge our phones while driving if we have to.
gave bandit a bath last night and that aggravated my hip some. i told rick i should have used the kitchen sink instead of the bathtub. soooo i will know better next time he needs a bath. he was soooo dirty from the melting snow and walking in the mud plus he stunk bad...lol poor dog...told rick he couldn't help it he had to go out to do his potty business and got this way...but he liked the bath and he hated the towel when i tried to dry him off. he ran around the house like a mad boy but then he let me use the hair dryer on him for a little bit. he smells alot better now. he needs another haircut though but if i can keep the hair brushed and snarls out i can put that haircut off longer. too cold to get it all cut off right now and he HATES his sweater!!!
tomorrow at 1:30 i get my next block done. not looking forward to laying on my back again for 6 hours. but i will do it...its worth it to not have the pain like i had. this time i will try the bed and see how that goes. last week i laid on the couch. so if its not that good i will move to the couch when i get my first 20 minute break.
saturday night we went to the eagles with our friend bob. they had a good band playing there...remember when. they played all kinds of oldies and most were pretty good sounding. some i never heard of or just didn't remember them. i think rick was a little upset because me and bob were singing along to most of the songs and he didn't know them...LOL got to remember he IS alot younger than i am ...LOL oh well we had fun!! after we left there we stopped at the store looking for something to eat...wandered around the store for about an hour and ended up buying french fries and ice cream!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!! LMAOOOOOOOOOO and we never even ate it....LOL guess we had a little to much to drink and we weren't thinking properly???? LOL
rick watched some footbal games and i saw the NOsaints win big time!!! what a game!!! WOW not sure about the other games as i was at work or doing some other stuff and no****ching the games...so what teams are going to the superbowl?? or they aren't done yet to know who is going? love the superbowl because of the commercials...;-)
can't wait for NASCAR to start again....maybe i can see some races this year....MAYBE. will have to talk to scheduler at work about this. no saturday night shifts and get out atleast by 2 or 230 on sundays. this way i can see the races. thinking of going to the races in michigan this year. be my first time going to one. there are 2 in michigan one is in june and the other is in august. both can be hot or rain...just never know. if it rains its carried over to next day and i can't afford to stay over and miss work....so i guess its a chance we have to take.
well thats it for me today....bored you enough...so going to go get ready for work...12:30-5:30 today off tomorrow and wednesday.

Carla..Congratulations on surving your first shift at worl. That ole learning curve always comes in to play. You will hit your stride and show them what a great employee you are. Unfortunately there is always one person that just has to give ya grief. I'm sure that will change, maybe she was just having a bad day.
Was exciting to watch the Saints play this weekend . Looked like they got their groove back. We Saints fans have been waiing nearly 45 years for a super bowl appearance hopefully this will be our year.
Today will be routine chores day won't bore you with details.

I'm late as usual and hoping everyone is enjoying the holiday today.
Not me, I've got a bad case of agita. My bank positively stinks! My DH and I applied in November to have our mortgage restructured...and we qualify! We filled out all the necessary paperwork and sent it back.
Today we got a federal express delivery from Bank of America. The letter said because we didn't send two months proof of income they'd dismissed the application and we'd have to start over again.
I nearly went through the roof. DH and I have been on social security disability for the last two years! The only verification I could give them was our award letters plus letters stating how much we'd be getting each month in 2009/2010.
Are the people in this department of the bank stupid or are they just deliberately playing games with us?
I couldn't call today because, of course, the bank is closed due to the holiday. So I've been telling myself to calm down and save my worry and aggravation for tomorrow.

I am enjoying my Monday off....it is so peaceful and quiet...I really appreciate the extra time off. I probably won't feel the same way tomorrow as I haven't worked since Thursday and I am sure I will have plenty to catch up on.
