My Oar is broken. What are YOU eating?

Have you ever seen the cartoon of the naked largish woman staning on her scale with a gun pointed at it? That's me.  Last week I was encouraged enough to say I had lost 2 1/2 lbs, but it's back. I could have something to do with my topic from yesterday (bloating), but I'm not so sure. I'm a little disheartened, but will keep on keeping on. I may have to go to work in my nightgown if I don't start losing something.

Thanks to all for your suggestions. I personally like Annette's the best, but since I can't get any dynamite, I'm going for prunes and Benefiber. I bought the little individually wrapped ones Candy suggested, not too fond of them, but I tell myself they're just big soft raisins.

Here's the day:

latte

bkfst--oatmeal w/ chopped almonds and a spoonfull of peanut butter with flax seeds

snack-- orange and a prune

lunch--  lean cuisine baked chicken

s--???

d--leftover pork chop w/ grilled onions and sauerkraut

B-Boost High Protein Drink

S-string cheese

L-turkey and cheese roll up and cherry tomatoes

D-talapia and green beans

S-popcorn...naughty!!

I'm cooking up a bunch of salmon this morning.  Think I'll hard boil a few eggs to have on hand, too.

B:  cottage cheese and fruit

L:  tossed salad and salmon, chick peas, a little lite raspberry vinaigrette dressing.  Maybe one of the hard boiled eggs. (no chick peas, no egg, just mixed lettuce and 4 oz salmon and dressing)

D:  salmon patties.  Maybe a small sweet potato.  I think there's one hanging out in the cupboard. Ate the salmon patties, total about 6 oz of salmon.  Two little bites of sweet potato and I was full.

Snacks continue to be low fat cheese sticks, ff/sf yogurt.  Maybe an apple and some peanut butter.  Only ate the 2 cheese sticks.

Came home and ate 5 dried prunes.  I need them....


That's my story, and I'm (hopefully) sticking to it.

My diet is getting boring.  I"m going to make Laureen's Italian Wedding Soup this weekend, and maybe try a crustless pizza.

No more pizzelles.  I took them ALL to work.  The officers love them, and it gets them out of the house.....

It was a GOOD day!

It happens to us all. The Benefibre sticks seem to help me but I use 3 a day.

Yesterday, while putting away a last Chrostmas gift bag, I came across ten Hershey's dark chocolate w/ almonds at the bottom that Id forgotten....Before I knew what happened, I'd eaten them all...then a heavy blanket of guilt descended. 

But I stopped it there and just ate a tiny piece of steak about 3 inches square for dinner..that was enough... and then had my bedtime snack of a hot chocolate protein drink tho I was first tempted to skip it.

This morning I get weighed and I'm down again... two pounds! what a shock & relief. 

Now I'm headed to do my "water jogging" and I'm back on track..can't let those small mistakes (my first one is 4 weeks) lead me down the wrong path again.  I USED to say, "well I blew that so why bother..I will start NEXT week!"  No more of that, I'm determined.

Today's menu:

B   hot chocolate protein drink (done)

S   banana stuffed w/ peanut butter (done)

L   homemade soup (when I get back from swimming)

S   cheese & crackers

D   green salad w/ chicken thigh meat, shredded carrots, dried cranberries, sunflower seeds, slivered almonds & Renees Light poppyseed dressing

S   hot chocolate protein drink

Susan, that's water weight. Stay off the scale. You are eating right my friend.

2 cups of coffee

B: Brownberry double protein toast with peanut butter
S: Atkins shake
L: Turkey cutlet with Bruschetta topping
S: apple
S: half banana before workout, half banana after workout

D: don't know, probably hamburger patty and green beans

S: apple (and NO MORE of hubby's homemade cookies!)

L - WW Roast Turkey

D - Chicken with salad with cheese cubes in it.  Newman's Own Lite Balsamic
Vinaigrette.
I'm going to try not to eat after dinner tonight.
Going to fill up my water right now.  Vitamins with Iron, Calcium & Vit. D,

The oatmeal & flax seed would work like dynamite for me.

Do you like stewed prunes? Kind of yummy to me and works fast.

Breakfast - still can't make myself eat this.

Lunch - roasted chicken with mushroom sauce and mixed vegetables (left over from last night)

Dinner - Hmmm.  It's cold and wet and windy and weird outside.  Maybe soup?  I'll update

Snack - I got rid of all the Wheat Thins.  I can't stay away from them.  An open box is an empty box.  I have some boring old pretzels that I'll dip in a good mustard, and maybe I'll also have a cheese stick.
