Sounds like Nic is doing better.  Hope the tests confirm that.  What a fun weekend for you with the grands.  Have a great time!
I hope Carrie gets an offer.  Like you say, it's not exactly what she wants, but may become what she wants.  Something is better than nothing in this day.
I've got venison stew in the crockpot.  I started it at 4 a.m. so it should be ready by noonish.
I'm sure to get a nap in this afternoon.  I feel like I'm slipping.....  zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

It is what it is.
If He brings you to it, He'll bring you through it...

Morning Jani and others:
Sorry to hear about all the sleep problems.....I take a tylenol PM every nite at bedtime and usually sleep the nite thru.....note usually.... last nite/this morning I woke up at 4:15 and had to go to the bathroom, then I couldn't get back to sleep....finally gave in at 6 and got up.  Think a little nap will be in order today.

I am settling into a routine, which makes things a lot easier.  I have two issues.....carrying anything is a trial because I need both hands to push the wheel chair, and two -- pulling up my pants with one hand -- TMI, sorry.  Oh well, this too shall pass!   LOL

I was able to brown some chicken breasts and a couple potato wedges last evening, then get it in the oven.   Yummo, so I will be eating on that for a few days.

It's bitter cold here this morning, sure glad I don't have to get outside.

Think I will try a small omlette for breakfast this morning....

Have a fabulous Friday, pleasant thoughts and lots of prayers for all who need them.

Good morning all,

This weekend is the family birthday party for Matthew - 3 years old. The menu is pizza and ice cream cake. Guess I'll take along my cottage cheese.

On Tuesday, the parents have rented the Bounce House for his official party. It will not be open to the public. Last count was 23 kids and parents attending.  I don't feel like joining that - nope - waaay too many kids with their sneaky little germs.

Good morning Jan and OFF family,
Wwwhhhhooooooo...it's Friday, I just love Fridays!! Work is keeping me busy but I got a lot of stuff done yesterday and my files are shaping up with getting my volunteers compliant with Joint commission. I hate mock surveys but I'm ready for them!!

Hubby is starting on our new floor. We bought slate tile. No carpet for us with 4 dogs and they will have to get use to the tile.

Ride in today was much nicer than yesterday, no white outs. It sure is cold here only 6 degrees.

Take care and hugs, prayers for all those in need.

I Jani and my OFF friends,

Jani, I take Temazapam, and Rx sleep medication. It's generic and costs less than $10 a month. Been taking it for years and it doesn't have the nasty side effects of things like Ambien.

Weather here has turned nasty. Snow is one thing, but today we're getting sleet and ice first, up to 3/4 of an inch on the ground before the snow actually starts. The Gov has declared a state of emergency, Gary's office has closed, I already moved all my clients to yesterday, so we're home for the duration.
Interesting fact: 1/4 inch of ice on a power line adds  500 pounds of weight to it. The same 1/4 inch of ice on a tree bran*****reases the weight of the branch 30x's!!  No wonder there are so many power outages during these conditions.

Okay, I've been stuck to the tv watching weather coverage too long. Time to go rustle up some grub. Hope everyone has a great day!

Susan
