Eileen it was nice talking to you on the phone. You indeed have many gifts that are special. Use them, you know what I'm talking about girlfriend!

Jacki, glad to see you posting and enjoy having your son at your side. You are in my thoughts, I'm sending good vibes your way. I'm glad you are celebrating your hubby's life with a party. That is so cool. May you enjoy hearing all the stories and finding comfort in them.

Well, it's not good new for Angel our big red hound dog. She has cancer in her mouth. We are just taking comfort measures right now and babying her. The vet said she probably doesn't have long to live so we are all saying good-bye in our own ways with Angel. It's hard.

Our daughter is coming home for the weekend - YAY - I can't wait to see her.  Hopefully, we'll do something fun -- although we always have fun socializing and being together even if it's only staying in playing Yahtzee.  We'll definitely go shopping too - lol -

Other than that, it's off to my piano lesson later on today.  I've had a little break here.....haven't touched the piano in 3 weeks now, bad bad me, but I'll tickle the ivories about an hour or so before I leave for my lesson and hopefully get back on track.  There are so many lovely pieces I want to learn and I'll never get there if I don't practice.

MORNING EILEEN AND OFF....

well the sun is out again today!!!! YIPPPEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! lots of snow melted yesterday but it all froze over night and it is slippery on the road here at the complex...have to be extra careful walking bandit thats for sure!!! talking of more snow this weekend into first of the week...yuck!!!!!!!

as for the olympics i flip channels and sometimes i stop to watch if it catches my fancy...lol

i also have been getting headaches usually middle of the night i wake up with it hurting me...not sure what that is all about...i drink enough water and i am getting my protein in. could it be forgetting the vitamins some days? i have been pretty good taking them lately. i am thinking it could be the cigarette smoke....sighs

made or should i say i tried to make more flowers last night for the afghan but my hand was sore and it really hurt to hold the loom and make them so i stopped and went to bed. i am just over half done with it. will be glad when this one is finished. i just don't care for the colors at all. it is pretty if you like those colors...plus ricks mom is just ******g me off right now and this afghan is for her.

auditors still haven't shown up at work. makes us all mad that they are taking so long to get to our store and get it done!

we were talking about the menu for ronald mcdonald house where i have volunteered to help put on a dinner for them march 3rd. i was asked what my specialty was...had to think its been so long since i made a BIG meal....i told her to give me a few minutes and i would let her know. well i came up with tons of dishes i make that everyone loves and she was excited so will know maybe today what we will be making and the other dishes to go with it. i am actually getting excited about this. first time i have ever done anything like this. :-)

working today 1-9 and i sure hope its busy!! yesterday i thought 530 would never get there!!! i hate it when its so dang slow!!! but i am sure the weekend will be so busy i won't have time to even think...lol

nothing else new here so will get going. have a good day and SMILE....see how many smiles you get in return!!! ;-)

 

 

Hi Eileen and friends!

Nice your coworker took you to lunch.  What a nice man.  I hope you two keep in touch.  I think that is important after working with someone so long.  I have pretty much lost contact with people I  worked with.  But!  I have stayed in touch with about ten girls I went to JR high and through high school with.  We are planning to meet once the weather gets better since we live all over the place.  All in State though.

Debbie, sorry about your dog.  It is so hard to watch them get ill and there is nothing you can do for them.  We lost a dog around thanksgiving.  I just know I gave him the best home he could have.  That I find comfort in.  Your dog is loved. 

Have more running around to do today.  I am not thrilled.  Although the sun is shinning here this  morning.  It is still cold.  I want some of this nasty black snow to melt. It looks terrible by the streets. 
Went to bed early last night.  Just plain tired after a full day of running around.

Gee I think I lost a day or two this week.  Can't believe it is Friday already.

THe weekend , hmmm.. Nothing planned this week so far.  Husband has wood to chop for our wood burner.  Other than that I might just crochet all weekend...keep my hands busy.

Good Friday morning everyone! 

I'm at work and it's going to be a busy day.  It's Michael's dialysis day and HE DROVE HIMSELF!  Yay!  I don't have to go all the way across town and take him home and come back to work.  That will be wonderful.  I hope it goes well for him to do that.  I'm a worrier, unfortunately.

I am finally off my butt and doing some exercise!  It feels good, although my knee does hurt more.  I'm riding the stationary bike (I have the schwinn aerodyne, which also moves with your arms), and I had a goal of 3x this week and did that.  4x, if I do it again tonight!

Meeting with our coffee/support group of WLS friends tomorrow and look forward to it.  I'm also planning to start another scarf (so far, all I can do knitting! - I'm just learning).  Otherwise, not too many weekend plans.  With Michael on the liquid diet pre-surgery, I don't think we'll go out to dinner or anything!

Here's hoping you all have good weekends.  Jacki - you are in my thoughts and hope the get-together memorial Sunday is good.

Just another fly by today....too many errands to run....I don't want anything to do Saturday and Sunday.

Jacki....I think it is wonderful that you are doing that get together in your husband's honor/request. It will be bitter sweet I am sure.....HUGS!!!!!

Debbie...prayers for you as you spend this time with Angel...what a blessing she has been in your life.

George....those must be some good earplugs to not hear two children and all those lovely ladys...LOL!!

I havent been around all week. My sister was here with her friend so we ran around a lot. I got called into work on Monday so that day was shot.
I have to go in today at 3 and work all night till 1130. I love that shift.

It is still cold down here around 58 high duringthe dayand 38 at night!!!! I want it to warm up!!!!

Woo hoo -- I got out of the house today!!!!! Sis took me to Wal Mart shopping and we spent 1 1/2 hrs there.....it was great. I spent too much money, but needed a lot of stuff. The sun is shining brightly today and it was a perfect day to get outside. You can't believe how uplifting it is to be able to be outdoors and see other people.

Special thoughts to Jacki - I think the party is a wonderful idea. We had some good laughs at the luncheon after my husbands funeral, telling stories and recalling good memories. It makes the grieving so much easier.

Debbiejean, my heart goes out to you for your doggie. It's so hard to lose one of our furry friends, they're just like our babies. Know that I am thinking of you.

Off to get my foot up for a while and maybe take a little nap. The shopping trip tired me out!
