too early tuesday...what's new?
Sorry to hear of the troubles for some of you. Life isn't easy. You are in my thoughts, for sure.
I'm doing well lost another 4 pounds this week - upped my protein and did more exercise this week. It feels good!
Michael is driving himself to dialysis now and that really helps my stress level. He is doing so well. Now he is on his liquid diet in preparation for his RNY next week! Yay!!! I hope it helps his other health problems, too.
We are keeping busy, staying home more and hoping for an early spring here in Minne-snow-ta!!
Have a good day.

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY! Working on the next 25. Then I'll tackle more...

Good morning Margo and OFF friends,
I'm so sorry to read such sad news on here this morning. Prayers going up for everyone. Our dear friend is not doing well. He is on a respirator and in a coma. I'm not sure if this is a medically-induced coma or he's slipping away. He's only 62, so young for today's standards. I don't want him to suffer, so I hope he goes off peacefully if it is God's will.
I can't wait for spring for some flowers, to be able to hear the birds singing, and to be able to see the beautiful green grass. Wishing you all peace and happiness.
Blessings,
Debbie

Hi Margo and my OFF family:
Good to see you more regularly, Margo. Now that you're in Michigan and I'm off all the time, we will have to get together (although this week is rather hectic).
I was up at 7 a.m., way too early for me, and I'm feeling it. I took my car in for its major repairs ($1200 worth, but I will get 10 percent off in parts). Got a ride home from the dealer, which is just down the street, came home, got into my sweats and had my protein coffee, and then took an hour nap in my recliner. Man, I was still sleepy after that! But I forced myself to get up and look at the computer. The other laidoff coworker who lives near me, Rick, had sent me a whole bunch of job listings ... I have my own personal headhunter! So I've been busy applying for jobs today. One was at USC ... yes, that's the University of Southern California ... for an editor/writer. Some of the jobs I wasn't qualified for or wouldn't want (I'm not management material), but it was nice he was thinking of me.
I wound up going to my psychologist yesterday anyway, at 6:30 p.m. The snow stopped and the roads cleared up, and it was a pretty nice day after noon. Today, the sun is shining but it's cold. I'm so chilled. I have to go out tonight to register at unemployment, then I'm going to meet this former college friend, David, who's in from Minneapolis on business, for dinner. We reconnected on Facebook and have been doing some light flirting. He's 6-8 ... I come up to his chest. He's very nice. Tomorrow I actually have nothing going on ... Thursday, it's taking Nettie to the vet for her tooth-pulling; Friday it's the disability interview ... see, I have a busy week, even though I'm unemployed.
Well, that's all for me right now. Have a good day. Stay warm.

Good news from the doctor today.....I am out of the wheel chair and putting full weight on my foot (it hurts a bit, but it will get better) using a rolling walker for a while but at least I am back on my feet. He's pleased with my progress thus far, and I will be having PT starting next week. I see the Dr. in two weeks and we will see if I can get out of this boot then. Going back to work on 3/1 and they are thrilled I'm coming back. They will come pick me up and return me home since I can't drive yet.
I'm so happy == I feel free again.
Thanks for all your prayers and good thoughts.
So much sad news on here today -- I feel a little guilty about my good news.
