Another bump in my road
I have 3 more weeks of chemo (just one day a week). Yesterday was supposed to be the first of those three. My liver enzymes were elevated! I also had a temp of 101.5. No chemo for me!
I was kinda happy because I had gotten a fill Tuesday and my band was too tight. The fill doctor said to come in as soon as I could, so when chemo was cancelled I went and got my unfill.
Today I had a liver ultrasound. My temp is down. I'm not sure what caused the liver thingy. The chemo doc says a virus might do it. I'll find out Tuesday when I go back to see her. Then Wednesday I'll get my chemo going again.
Oh, the chemo doc says I shouldn't try to have my shoulder surgery for at least 6 months after chemo is done. My immune system will still be compromised and healing will take longer and may not be as smooth. Darn!
Things just keep getting more interesting!
I love how you turn things into a positive and hope that should I ever face the challenges you have, that I can do them as gracefully.
Sending you hugs and positive thoughts, Laureen

Thanks, everyone for your kind thoughts.
I've always been a 'glass half full' kinda gal.

I have to admit I do get down somedays. But my husband, kids, and grandkids are enough to make me realize that it is what it is, and I have to roll with the punches.
Wow, I wonder if I can fit in any more platitudes?
I hope you can get all your tests and shoulder taken care of.
You are in my thoughts.
Peace
I am on my way. What a ride it has been.
