I sold my house in Portage at a big loss, but it was almost paid for and I had gotten remarried and an upkeep on an empty house is big...including the stupid insurance. Yuck.
I was so happy to sell it and love living in the country. I don't think I could ever live in the city again.

I'm with you.  Our big house we sold at about 70K less than our neighbors had gotten for the identical 4 bdrm colonial 6 years before we sold.  This rental is going for about 30K less than we could have gotten a few years ago, but c'est la vie.  Our realtor called last night with a little glitch in the sale, but if the appraisal goes through as we hope, it shouldn't make any difference to us.
Hey, it was you that was looking for a vacuum right?  Did you ever pick up the Bissell Pet Eraser?  I recommended it to a friend and he bought it and loves it.  Can't say enough about it's cleaning power.

Sounds like you are enjoying Up North. I love Up North and go camping all the time now that we have our travel trailer. My favorite place is Ludington State Park. We do go a lot and stay at my BIL place, he is half way to Mackinac City and Cheboygan. You sit down by the water and just enjoy the scenery. The Island is right across the lake and you can see the bridge. I go swimming in the cold water and my new hubby goes with me. Such fun!!
