Moving to the groove on Monday Morning!
Hey out there! There must be somebody else hitting the gym, or the sidewalks, or the exercise bike, or the WII fit, or perhaps grooving to the oldies with Richard Simmons!!! Moosie, are you still roaming the halls or did they release you yesterday? I need company. I need to know that someone, somewhere, anywhere is checking to make sure that I am keeping my exercise commitment. I need accountability.
It is so easy to talk "me" out of going in the gym door. I'd rather enter the thrift shops, the grocery store, just about anywhere EXCEPT the dentist. But, I will go to the gym again today. I think I am firming up a bit but sure not seeing much change on the scale.
I'm trying to "carb count" with Mike to help him lower his blood sugar. It won't hurt me either. I need to find an easy little "look up carbs"booklet. I know I used to have one around here. Just as soon as I get rid of something I find a need for it. I'll check out the used book store. I'm sure there is probably something there.
I've been wide awake for an hour. It's still not 4am. Don't have to work today and we are leaving for Seattle on Wednesday so guess I can catch a nap later. My biggest problem with sleeping is as soon as I sit down or lay down to watch tv in the evening I am a goner. I get my best sleep of the night on the couch before going to bed. No wonder I can't sleep when I get there.
Let's get out and move today!

I went for a 3.5 mile walk around my country block after the Spartans Game....what a game! Woohhhooooooooo!!
Saw 4 white tail deer, didn't see them until I almost got right next to them, I don't know who scared whom the most but my doggies Jake and Ellie were ready to go after them when they took off. The dogs stayed with me though and we continued on our beautiful fast paced walk.
Today I will be walking around the hospital twice, it's 2 miles all together with Julie and Chris. Chris has just started exercising with us and can make it once around....Whhhoooooo!! She is so excited walking with us and feels so much better. Chris isn't having WLS but a breast reduction, she is heavy but with exercising and watching what she is eating, she will be a success. She also will feel so much better after her reduction cuz she does have some really really big Ta-Ta's!
I will be going to spin class with Deb B. after work.
So people we got one more person on the exercise band wagon...How about YOU???
come on and join us, start out at 20 or 30 minutes walking if you haven't been exercising.
Challenge yourself. I started lifting heavier weights, less reps and toning.

Support is what we all need, just like people hanging on to the "rowing your boat thread".
It's accountability. It helps. You are doing fantastic and have a great head on those shoulders!
I just finished a 2 mile walk during break time and it really energizes me!
Spin class will help get the stress out when I go to the gym after work.
Yep, there are a lot more people exercising, they just don't shout it from the rooftops.
I'm like you I like to be held accountable. I have several support systems and I use them all!
Missed going to water aerobics Saturday but got my hair cut and colored. I now sport a shorter do and my hair is a brighter red for the spring/summer. It's sassy...I love bouncy hair!
I'll do the hottub after my workout when I get home. My granddaughter just loves the hottub, she sings and dances for me in the hottub, makes up songs and pretends she is an actress/singer. When she gets bored with that, she will do flips in the water. Kids sure do keep you young!

I'm so proud of your hard work and dedication to working out!!!! YOU ROCK!!!
I did not roam the halls today...I finally checked out of after-care, went to the surgeon this afternoon and got home a few hours. By the time we drove home, got the bags in the house, got me changed and re-dressed some of the wounds I was tuckered out! I'm hoping for a good night sleep tonight because today has been exhausting.
Tomorrow morning I will put my pedometer on again and track the number of steps I do. I'm going to try to walk around the house 10 mins every couple of hours...that will be worthy of counting as exercise. The hard part about walking right now (even at a snails pace), is that every step I take, every inch I move I feel it in the incisions around the groin. As long as I take 1 painkiller every 5 hrs it's been ok but I got way behind schedule today so I'm hurting. I'm sure tomorrow will be better.
So that's my plan for moving tomorrow.....I'll let you know how I do.
Have a good night!
