What is your WLS Bucket list?

I posted this on another forum and we had fun with it.

What are some of things you wish to do, or can do now that you had surgery. Or for those who have not had surgery, what is your bucket list?

1)  Cross my legs
2) go shopping and to restaruants without people staring at me.
3) fit into a chair or fit into a booth
4) jog
5) ROLLER SKATE!
6) Doing things with my kids.  I feel guilty now that I look back on how my weight affected them
7)  To fit into a size 10 jeans
8) there are so many more that I forget right now.

Peace
Mary

I am on my way.  What a ride it has been.

Good question!

My answers would have to be:

1. Be able to cross my legs.  I know it is not the masculine thing to do, but I do it because I can.

2.  Fit in the seats at the Ballpark.

3.  Buy clothes off the rack at Walmart and not have to go to Casual Male.

4.  Have a 2 at the front of my weight instead of a 3.

5.  Lower blood pressure.

6.  Lower grocery bills.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

4. Can do 2 spin classes in a row at the gym if I have the desire
5. Wear pretty bras
6. Cross my legs
7. Go on roller coasters now and fit and not have the bar give me bruises!
8. Exercise everyday without fail for 60 minutes and feel better afterwards
9. No more back pain or knee pain
10. No more sleep apnea

I like some of the things others answered ... but unlike Debbie, I still have to take naps (blame the fibro, I still get fatigued).

1. Fit into a airplane seats without spilling over and not asking for a seatbelt extender
2. Getting down on the floor easily (well, I was able to do that until I had the knee replacement, now I can't anymore)
3. Cross my legs
4. Fit into seats at ballparks (I can do that, but now I don't go to ballparks because it's too uncomfortable to sit there anyway because of the knee/back)
5. Walk around the Mayan area of Tulum ... even with the knee replacement going bad, I was able to do that, but I had to use my cane
6. Walk uphill comfortably at the waterfall in Jamaica (my brother actually got in the river/waterfall, I walked alongside ... never would have been able to do that before)
7. Fit comfortably in zip-up jeans (I was in size 16 for awhile ... I need to get back to that)

3.  Play on playground equipment with grandson
4.  Go into a public place without people staring or laughing
5.  Fit in a diner booth
6.  Fit in a movie theater seat
7.  Diabetes in remission
8.  Some prescription meds (diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol) no longer needed

I am just starting this journey.  I haven't even attended the "informational" meeting at my HMO yet, but I met with my PCP, and requested the referral !  I started eating healthier 3 weeks ago when the orthopedist turned my down for knee replacement because of my weight.

Soooo, my list will be :

~ Cross my legs
~ Get that knee replacement surgery
~ Go on a 4 day horseback riding trek with my dd in the high sierras
~ Be able to go hiking again
~ Shop in a regular department store for clothing
~ Have a body that match my petite feet !
