Humpday howareya thread
I'm back and boy was I surprised to roll in and see no daily thread, lol. It's still rainy and nasty here, hope you all aren't still contending with that. The Rancocas Creek in our country is overrunning its banks and causing major flooding. We are across the street from Spring Lake and it's risen considerably but no flooding yet.
Hopefully today is going to be a relaxing day--no doctor appointments! The only thing I have planned for the afternoon is making split pea and ham soup. That should help chase away the damp and chill. I'm also hoping to work on my story some more.
Everyone have a wonderful Wednesday!
Cassie
P.S. I am still so sad about Brenda (Red)'s passing. Even when she was so sick, she always seemed so upbeat.

Oh Cassie, I'm sad about Red too. She was so "real". She just made me smile. Red's at peace now, but while on this earth she sure did serve God well. Many gifts of love Red had.
On a lighter note...
It's beautiful here in Michigan. Excited about my walk during lunch and just moving.
I don't know if I'll even make it to spin class because it's so nice out and I can go home and ride.
Yesterday when I got home, took my 3 dogs out for a walk. At times I would have to carry Sophie. She is a chihuahua peekapoo mix and she is overweight, has a thyroid problem but she loves to join in our parade. I just pick her up and lift her softly up and down a few inches and I'm working out with "doggie weights"!! LOL
Not doing too much today. Some of the usual. Got up at 4:30 and straightened up a little and going to do some laundry.
Have to take my sister to the doc's again.
Colored my hair, finally!
Took my shower and i think I will lay down before I have to take her at 4.
Nothing else new, not that I can really say for sure. Not knowing what the day will bring.
Beautiful weather here today and the rest of the week. they say 80 degree's by Friday. WOW
Peace
I am on my way. What a ride it has been.

It's already 52 degrees here and sunny ... well, mostly sunny, a few wispy clouds. The only bad thing is the pollen is kinda bad. Robins are out on the grass outside my sliding doors. Could it actually be spring? Hope so. I don't dare open the doors because of the pollen. My eyes have been itchy even with four allergy meds. Need to get some eye drops.
I got an e-mail this morning from a paper in Texas about a job ... he's calling me at 9 Friday morning. I have a feeling they're not paying much, either. But at least someone's interested in me. It's a start.
Did my unemployment yesterday ... this time online. I didn't realize I could certify online. I was talking to Carla and she said her hubby did it online so I tried to do it. Sure enough, they had it so it could be done online, too. I like it much better online ... I hate pushing all the buttons on the phone. Now I have to wait for the money again.
Oh, I meant to tell you guys, I heard from my former cat sitter who had given me my Aby cat, Diva. Diva wasn't pooping in the litter box back in 2008 and I surrendered her to the rescue rather than putting her down. The last time I heard about her, Jeanine, who runs the rescue, said they were going to do an ultrasound on Diva. I worried something was seriously wrong. Well, it turns out Diva had colitis and irritable bowel syndrome (I have IBS, too). So she's still alive, living in the senior room at the rescue, pooping on the paper. I plan to volunteer at the rescue so I may get to see Diva. I think I may have pictures of her on my profile ... if I don't, I have photos of her on Facebook. She is a beautiful Abysinnian and very smart ... except when it comes to the litter box. She was also a flirt ... whenever there was a guy in the house, she would rub against his legs and be all over him. Just like her name, she was a Diva.
I hope to get to the pool today ... that'll poop me out after that, and I won't be able to do anything else. Only a few more days until opening day! It's next Sunday (first game on ESPN is Sunday night, then the big opening is Monday when I'll get to see the White Sox play). Can't wait ... hope the Sox are better this year.
Well, I've babbled on long enough. Have a good day.
Texas! Would you want to relocate? And it's definitely a start, how long ago did you post your resume? It hasn't been that long right?

I have been applying for jobs since I knew I was getting laid off, in January. I have my resume posted on CareerBuilder and Monster, but the best newspaper jobs are elsewhere, so I keep looking.
Good morning ya'll.
Well, it's Wednesday. My LAST chemo this morning. I hope!! I have had chemos cancelled before for bad blood work results!
When I get back from chemo I will make my reservations to fly to CA and then down to see my band surgeon and get this thing looked at under fluoro! I want to be sure no harm was done by the NG tube in September.
I made my DH some tuna this AM, so he'd have it for lunch while I was gone. I had to taste it to be sure it was OK and now I can't get the tuna/onion taste out of my mouth!! I have brushed my teeth twice. I'm gonna be breathing fire on the chemo tech this morning!!
We are supposed to have fantastic weather for the next week! I can't wait to get out in the yard! We have daffodils blooming, robins and cardinals in the yard and SUNSHINE!! I hope everyone with all that rain dries out soon.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
