Thursday thread -- what 'cha doin'
How funny Pat! I was just looking and thinking no one has posted this morning...there is only one from yesterday, which I thought was Thursday. So I guess today isn't Friday. What a disappointment. LOL
Work again today. Same old, same old.
I made salmon patties last night. I measured everything and used egg beaters and very fine bread crumbs. Measured each patty at 2 oz then figured the amount of calories, carbs and protein in each patty. They were really good, but kind of dry. Next time I'll use more egg and a little less crumbs.

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Yep, I slept in today. I did a lot of running around yesterday and was on the phone all evening with people calling me.
Going to try and get out to enjoy the nice weather, yesterday was beautiful. I can't wait until everyday is picture perfect.
I want to get out and play with my dogs, they love to play ball. But, even though the weather is nice, the ground is sooooo muddy.
Have to go to the bank today and to the grocery store to pick up a few things for Easter. I hope they are not jammed. Somehow, I think they will be.
I tried making salmon patties with canned salmon, first time I ever ate salmon. They didn't turn out too well. I didn't like them. Do you use fresh salmon?
Nothing really heavy going on today. Thank God, I can use the rest and change of scenery.

No I use canned salmon. Our small town grocery store doesn't carry fresh fish and the frozen fish section is pretty limited.....mostly Mrs Pauls. LOL

Hi Everyone, It is supposed to snow and rain this weekend. Yuck! Nothing much going on this weekend. Going to church on sunday and then spending time with my family. My grandkids have outgrown the easter egg hunt. Have a Blessed Easter, everyone. Mona

It's quiet here at work, I think a lot of people are taking off the rest of the week.
I plan on taking a long walk today around the hospital getting in at least 3 miles. Maybe I'll walk twice!! I won't be able to go to the gym, gotta get home and do some stuff before 7pm services tonight.
Keep your fingers crossed, say prayers or swing chickens for my son in law. He might lose his teaching job. Several of the parents are stepping forward to try and keep him there, he also coaches and is well loved by the kids and parents.
You all have a great day, it's going to be a warm sunny day here in Michigan. You sure can't complain about the weather here this week!! Wwhhoooooo!

Hi Pat and my OFF family:
It's already 59 degrees here ... not as sunny as yesterday, though. I slept with the window open last night and it was great, although I probably shouldn't have. I have a little headache this morning, I'm sure it's because of the pollen.
I felt nauseous all day yesterday. I still went to the pool and felt fine while I was in the pool, but as soon as I got back in the car, I felt queasy again. Didn't matter what I ate, didn't eat, drink, etc. ... still felt lousy. Lying down was the only thing that seemed to help. So finally at 8:30 I went to bed and just lied in the dark on my side and watched TV in bed. Didn't even want to read. Later, I had a protein bar and that seemed to help. Don't know why.
But I did water walk yesterday for nearly 40 minutes and I don't feel too sore today, so that's good. There was hardly anyone in the pool ... at first it was just me and this woman, Nancy, who had been there on Monday and who had a bad knee replacement, too ... so we were commiserating. Later, there were a few others that came in, but still, not as many as Monday ... I guess everyone was outside because it was gorgeous.
I have already checked my bank account ... my credit union merged again with another one and has another new name, so that was a surprise this morning to see a new home page (although I knew it was happening ... still it was a surprise). Got my unemployment payment, paid a couple of bills, wrote some checks to pay other bills. Soon, I'll be off to do some shopping. Don't want to get too much because I'll be off on vacation after next Saturday.

I have to go into work just 18 more times, then I'm done. There are also a few weekend days and a few doubles in there, so my last actual day of work is April 28. I have mixed feelings, but mostly I'm really anticipaing the life change.
The weather is supposed to be in the low 70's Friday and Saturday, which is my weekend. It's been pleasant this week, but not really warm. I've been fighting a headcold since Monday, but I finally surrendered and got good and sick. I'm hoping today is the worst day, as I'd like to do some stuff outside, or at least just enjoy the warm, for the next few days. Right now all I'm doing is sleeping and working. And "Farming". And complaining. 'Cause I really, really hate to have head colds. (Like everybody else doesn't.....)
So for now I'm taking one day at a time. It's good to read about everyone enjoing Spring and getting out. Now, THAT's a plan!

Well I caught my mouse at 8:40 p.m last night. I don't think he had any friends because I reset it and it was empty this morning. One mouse all winter is pretty good.
The sun is out. Yay. The streams, rivers and reservoirs are starting to go back into their banks. The temp is around 50*.
We are spending Easter with my Mom, sister and brother. Mom's been having some heart problems so trying to stay close to her now.
Hubby has been working on his hobby - woodworking. He is almost ready to put a miniature mill with water wheel on our pond waterfall. Because the wood is exposed to water all the time, he had to take a lot of precautions to waterproof it. Six of our goldfish made it through the winter. Now we just have to make sure the hawks and blue herons don't get them. We are thinking of netting the pond. I want to grow a veggie garden this year. After seeing the price of green peppers I want to try my hand at growing my own.
No errands to run today, just housework. I gained a couple of pounds from making poor choices. So today I posted on Susan's thread and I'm going to try to control myself.

HI PAT!!! good to see you posting...hey do me a huge favor?? send me a PM and tell me what is happening on the Y&R soap...i tried watching it yesterday but am sooo lost!!! its been a few months since i saw it so not sure whats happening anymore!!!
well i got my shots today...one in the butt near my crack area and the other one in the side of hip/leg area. man that one hurt like hell!!!! dr said i should be good as new by tomorrow...i hope so!!! he said i could work today but i am thinking he is wrong...i hurt and the pressure is hurting but i am gonna try it and if i can't i will come home.
have to pack tonight what i can and load up the car and then after i go to bank to cash my check in the morning we are off to michigan til tuesday!!!! can't wait to see my mom again and we will also be meeting up with my cousin aka my dad. haven't seen him in a couple years now so that will be fun!!
the weather here is sooo nice!!! had bandit out and didn't need my coat on for a change!!!!
well need to get ready for work now and get some stuff ready to pack tonight so i will say TTFN and hope you all have a nice EASTER!!! ;-)
