Wow, I can't believe it's April already!  I think that's why I missed posting this thread yesterday, LOL!

In March, I read these books--

Everything She Ever Wanted by Ann Rule.  She writes true crime books and they're always fascinating because she goes through such indepth coverage of what happened.

1916 by Morgan Llewellyn.  I wasn't too crazy about this book although I usually enjoy historical fiction very much.  I guess I wasn't much in the mood for an Irish Forrest Gump this month, LOL.

Cane River by Lalita Tademy was awesome!  She fictionalized the story of four strong women in her family, all born into slavery.  The book covered the span of 100 years.

Break No Bones by Kathy Reichs.  I'd never seen the TV series "Bones" but had heard of it.  Reichs is the one who created the characters on the series.  They're based on her books.  I'm usually not a fan of mysteries but this one was okay.

Right now I'm reading A Fractured Mind by Robert B. Oxnam, awesome so far!

So what are you reading now and what did you read last month?

Hey there, Irishcoda,

WOW - you are a reader - lol - you read lots of books!

I read Heart-Shaped Box by Joe Hill.  It was fair to good.

I just started reading Undying Love: The True Story of a Passion That Defied Death (St. Martin's True Crime Library) :: Ben Harrison

I think I was born with a book in my hand, lol.  I enjoyed Heart-Shaped Box too.  It wasn't the best I'd ever read but it was good.  I didn't throw it across the room once in frustration. ;)

I read a lot, but since I'm back to work now, haven't read as much as I would like.....

In March I read:
The Help (sorry don't remember the author)
Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Sallinger (didn't really care for it)

I am trying to read A Tale of Two Cities, but so far I haven't gotten thru the 20 some pages of introduction!!!

I bought 4 classics because I felt like I needed to read some of them.  I belong to a Book Club and "The Help" was our selection for this month.....it was very good.

I finished the novel Molokai', which was very good.

I'm currently reading Edgar Sawtell, which is an interesting novel about a mute boy raised by parents who bred a fictional breed of dogs.  It's good, so far.

I loved it too, and when a friend gave it to me, I thought I wouldn't like it!  It sounded depressing by the description - - but it wasn't - it was a GOOD story, well-told.   I'm glad you liked it, too.
