Good morning all!

Have I ever been MIA!  Sorry 'bout that.  I have been spending my nights surfing the net looking for baseball news on lots of teams.  I am getting so pumped up.

Mary and I are going to the Ballpark tonight.  I have 2 extra tickets and no one to use them.  Oh well.  It's just an exhibition game.  But I got to get my fix.  I also need to go to the season ticket holders window and trade some of my tickets in for other games.  Plus, they remodeled the gift shop and are reopening it tonight.  And I want a new cap.

Then, tonight, after we get home, I will help Mary a little around the house.  And probably set up my new computer.  The old one was just too infected.

Monday.... OPENING DAY!!!!!  Getting Eddie and Alex out of school at 10:30 and heading up to the Ballpark.  So ready.  I love experiencing Opening Day, but being able to experience it with the grandkids is just awesome.    I have a group of about 30 friends and families going together.  It's something I do every year.  I order the tickets with my season ticket holder discount for all my friends and get to enjoy the game together.

So what do you have planned for the weekend.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Hi George and everyone,

Happy good Friday.

George you are so enthusiastic about baseball makes me want to go to a game myself.   Wow, you really are a good fan!  It keeps us young to have such a love for something.  You really got baseball fever.

Well...  Today I have to go shopping?  Why would I punish myself with the Friday Crowd for the Holiday?  Why, you ask?  Because, I didn't feel like going yesterday.  Damn it.

Hmm.. This weekend we are doing things around the yard on Sat and then off to my in-laws on Sunday.   Monday, of course, I have to take my sister to another Doc appointment.  We go to, a podiatrist every week.  A psyhchiatrist every week.  An infectious disease doc every two weeks.  And, now I can add an orthopedic surgeon to the list.  I love my sister and try really hard to be there for her.  Sometimes, it gets a bit draining.  But for now, she needs help.

I am looking forward to the rest it will give me over the weekend.  I really need it.

Hubby and I got into a little arguement last night. Of course it was his fault not mine.  Sometimes people can really say stupid things.  However I am not one to let it go by me.  Soooooo off we went into a bantering few moments.

Truthfully, I am still P@##@D.  Must be the Italian in me.   I don't want to say we hold grudges...lol  But it is hard to let go of something when you know, the other person is wrong..lol

Oh well, I guess that helps to keep the fire burning.  A good arguement always makes me feel good..lol  I took debate in high school, sometimes I miss it..lol

Have a great day and stay away from those last minute shoppers!

Peace
Mary

I am on my way.  What a ride it has been.

Sorry you had the spat with the spouse.  Can't say I know how it feels, because one thing I decided long ago, it ain't worth arguing.  I remember Mary getting mad at me one time about 15 years ago or so.  I was fighting with my son (him I would argue with).  Mary got mad at us because we would not stop.  She had a wine glass with a wine cooler in it and threw it at the fireplace.  It hit the fireplace and landed on the carpet.  In one piece.  So Brad and I started laughing.  That ticked her off even more.  She was upset for a little while, but she got over it.  That was probably the biggest disagreement we have had in our 35 years of marraige.

Hi George, we miss you when you're not here!

What a great day filled with fun memories you have planned on Monday. That's the thing about baseball, such a great family sport.

I had to get up early to get my breakfast casseroles into the oven. I promised Gary he could take one to the office, and one of our girls is leaving the salon, so we're having a little going away bkfst. Of course, I can't wait till 9:00-10:00 to eat, so it will be one of my snacks.

It's becoming more and more clear that our Saint Bella business will be closing down soon. Our main retailer is not ordering, so without that income, we're pretty much dead in the water. I'm taking it as a sign that it's time. Tess just doesn't have much interest/time for it, and without her, what's the point? I will be glad to get my house back to normal and be rid of all of the bottles, jars, potions and lotions that are taking up way too much space.  I'm okay with it, although it would have been nice to recoop the ca****ook out of savings, but all of the tax deductions will pretty much off set what I've spent. Tess and I have become so close because of this, frankly, the money spent was well worth it.

Very, very busy at work, which I am very grateful for. Actually, it's only one thing in my life that I'm grateful for!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day and a great weekend!

Susan

Good morning George and OFF,

I've sort of been MIA myself lately, although I do lur****asionally trying to stay abreast of what is going on, although I am behind.

George, you sure do love your sports.  You make the baseball games you attend sound like so much fun.  I like baseball more than football.

Work has been very busy and I volunteered to work the holiday.  As long as I get an early start, I can be finished early and still have the rest of the day to enjoy.  It's supposed to be near 80 this weekend - WOO HOO!

The scale is moving again - YAY -- I'm getting closer to my personal goal (my surgeon doesn't set a goal).  I went with the goal the WW booklet said I should be (upper range).   Been working out on the treadmill 40 vigorous minutes each day and I'm loving it.

Happy Easter/Passover.  Hope your holiday is extra special.

Blessings,

Debbie

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Good morning OFF family, it's Good Friday and payday Friday for me! Whhhoooooo!!

Went to church last night, we have changed churches, this one is only 5 minutes away and I like the pastor and the people, it's a lot different from my last one but in the end we are basically all the same.

The pastor set up services in the gym/all purpose room with tables chairs, round table like. Communion was served and he had put out 10 readings and if you wanted to read, you picked one up. Being new I didn't participate with the readings. Most that came we my age or older. Hubby came with me. We sang old hymns from the hymnal book which I like because I read music and we sang accapella, a few I didn't know but I could follow along just fine. After wards everyone came up and said what a beautiful voice I had and I needed to do special music and join the choir.

So I'm joining the choir and hubby is too. I wanted to not join anything yet, to sit back and be the one to enjoy others singing. I have been active as a cantor/soloist since I was 8 years old.
I guess God is pushing me in the same direction again, to use the gift He has given me. Serving others is a blessing and those who sing...pray twice!

Oh yeah...my wonderful husband volunteered me to sing the National Anthem at the Tea Party Rally on Tax Day...accapella also! Yikes!! Personally I like to sing in a group, harmonizing. I hate singing solo...give me people!! Much more fun...a diva I'm not!

Hi George and my OFF family:

Yey! Opening Day is Monday (well, the first game is actually Sunday, but it's the Yankees-Red Sox). Can't wait to see the first games ... I've ordered the baseball package on cable and this year I'll actually be able to sit and watch games, too.

In a few minutes, I should get a call from the newspaper guy in Amarillo, Texas, about the copy editor job. Don't know how this is going to go. I got up at 7:30 a.m. before the sun was up and watched the sun rise over the golf course. It's already 62 degrees and supposed to get up to 83 today. Wow, it was wonderful yesterday.

I went to my friend Jeanine's cat rescue yesterday, Reuben's Room. She must have about 40 cats there ... including Diva, who has colitis and lives in the senior room. Diva wouldn't even let me touch her at first ... she pulled down her ears. Her sister, Allie (much smaller cat) was all over me, just like Diva used to be. Some beautiful cats there ... one big black long-haired cat I really wanted ... Gus, who has a Stage 5 heart murmur. I resisted. Anyway, I'm going to volunteer there, basically do callbacks on the rescue, give the cats attention, help with the garage sale. It'll give me another thing to do. It was great to sit and talk with Jeanine, too, who used to be my cat sitter (but she is too expensive!). Nice woman, very caring, just loves cats ... her house is devoted to the cats. It's a no-kill shelter, so she takes everyone in.

I have a house showing today ... they're coming while I'm away at the dentist. After the dentist, I think I'll go out to lunch. Anyway, it's a nice day ... I love getting into capris and out of long pants.

Have a good day.

How can Michigan be so nice and we're still cool most of the time? we've had a few glimmers of spring but it's still cool. And today here in Chehalis, WA down right cold! It's an inside treadmill day for sure. Raining cats and dogs (I know what it means but where the heck did that come from.  Eileen, I'm so impressed with all that you've started doing. . . working at the cat shelter, pool aerobics, job searches, editing. . . .Wow, what a testament to the power of anti-depressants.  And I might also add to an resilient spirit. Way to go!

Interview went well ... don't know what they're offering for salary yet, but I liked the guy I talked to. Much smaller paper than Grand Rapids, much smaller staff. So we shall see where this leads.
