Morning Crew Mates!  Happy Good Friday....but then, aren't all Friday's good???

If you're looking for a great and very easy dessert recipe, this one might be for you. I made it last summer for a birthday celebration at work, and even the die hard sugar lover/eaters liked it. Might be a great Spring treat for after Easter dinner???

Yesterday was another kind of off day. I can't believe that I actually went to work without taking anything to eat!  I didn't expect to be there as long as I was, so ended up having one of the girls grabbing me a bean burrito from the local Mexican drive through. I was hungry and was pretty surprised that I ate the whole thing. It wasn't gigantic, but a normal sized burrito, but still, I don't have a "normal" sized stomach! Oh well, it was very good and I skipped my afternoon snack. Wasn't hungry, and just didn't need it.

latte, protein coffee

meatloaf pizza

bean and cheese burrito

grilled flat iron steak, whole grain rice pilaf, broccoli/carrots

applesauce w/ special k LF granola

Hi Susan and all you WLS people!

Great recipe.  Think I am going to make that for Eater and bring it over to my in-laws on Sunday.  I am already bringing, what we call fluff.  Cottage cheese (low fat , small curd)  Sugar free Jellow, I use enough packs to make one big box of jellow.  Right now I can't remember how many that is.,  I use crushed pinapple, packed in it's own juice.  Add a bag of mini marshmellows.  I am always looking for sugar free, haven't found them yet. I figure in one serving you don't get that many.  Two bowls of sugar free cool whip. Add all in a bowl and mix.  YUMMY

Yesterday I did really well.  Have lost another pound!  Small things makes us so happy.

Here was my plan for yesterday, I upped my intake of protein because I started losing my hair again.. Bummer.

Coffee

B- Protein drink
S-
L- Protein drink
S- Geez, I can't remember
D-  A large salad with Chicken breast and crumbled bacon and a little shredded chedar.
S- Protein drink
Before bed, I stayed up late last nigh****ching TV - Atkins sweet and salty food bar. Man, those are hard to chew and bite into.  Don't think I will buy them again.

I don't think you can make marshmallows sugar free. I have a friend that makes them. I'll ask.

Hi Susan and all OH Buddies:

Had a total thyroidectomy on Tuesday and went home Wednesday, but have not felt up to doing much till today.  Lots of pain and the pain med makes me lazy.  Trying to cut back.

Anyway, here is today's plan:

B - Oatmeal with wheat germ and strawberries.
S - String cheese, low sodium V8
L - Lentil soup and yogurt
S - 1 oz. walnuts
D - Noodleless lasagna
S - yogurt and strawberries

Kind of in a slump today....but doing okay.

B-high protein drink

D-refried beans w/cheese

S-turkey bites (like beef sticks)

Hello Susan,

I'm trying to rest today.....it's hard......I've already broke down and swept the kitchen/family room floors.

Food today:

B- Cereal (mix of different high fiber cold cereals), lite soy milk
S- 1 small apple
L- Fishcakes (1 can tuna, 1 can salmon, mashed chick peas, onion, spices, seasonings, etc.....browned in pan with olive oil) and stuff them pita pockets with chop salad.  Pickles and pickled beets on the side (wish I had some coleslaw), maybe some grapes
S- PB on lite wasa, 10 gr 90% dk choc, 1/2 lg apple
S- Protein w/fiber, 12 almonds
d- Chicken with curry seasoning over rice

That's the plan ....I'm off now to go and start those fishcakes.....high protein, good Omega fat, low calorie!!
