Good Day!

One more day to tax day.........the stress of paying Uncle Sam makes me want to walk around the block..... 

Tomorrow is also the day I picked to start my daily walk; slower and shorter distance to start of course (not because it's tax day but it's my 3 weeks post op day so I think it will be safe to get started).
I know how important exercise is, not only for those of us who are losing weight but for those of us maintaining the loss AND to me equally (if not more) as important is for overall good heart health.  So I'm anxious to get started again.  I wish i could go for a nice early morning bike ride but there is no way I can do that yet.

Dr. Dean Ornish was on Dr. Oz today and he reiterated that all we need is 30 mins a day and it doesn't have to be all at once, 10 mins 3x a day is good for heart health.

20 minutes on the PACE machines & 20 minutes in the pool at 5:30 this morning!
To work, because tomorrow is tax day & people want to make their IRA contributions!!

I"m in awe that you can get up early enough to be in a pool at 5:30 am!!!!!!!  I just want to be able to wake up at 6:15 or 6:30 tomorrow and I'll be happy.

If you run between the rain drops today will you be able to tiptoe thru the tulips tomorrow????  sorry, couldn't resist.

Hi Ruth,
glad you can start walking today.
I did a 3 mile walk during my lunch break with Juli and Chris. Chris only does 1 mile and we do the first one slow for Chris cuz she is just starting to exercise. Then Juli and I go like gang-busters for 2 miles. It was a beautiful walk today, the sun is shining and that makes ya happy!

Hi Debbie,
I can't start until tomorrow....it will be 3 weeks ago tomorrow that I had surgery.  I honestly am excited to get out there and give it a try.
I'm going to go to bed early tonight so i can get up early.  I'm not taking a nap this afternoon so I can get to sleep at a reasonable hour (I'll have to miss my favorite late night show.....Craig Ferguson).

I'll let you know tomorrow how far I was able to walk.....

I like Craig Ferguson too...but I go to bed at 10pm...sometimes earlier if I'm tired.
You have a great eveing and I can't wait to hear about your walk tomorrow.
