Good Monday Morning - What's new with you?

What a great week I am having!  Mary's best friend is visiting from California.  We have been hanging out and just having a great time.  Sunday was extremely busy.  Got up to sign Niki out of her hotel in Arlington.  Brought her to Dallas to sign in for her Mary Kay convention.  Then took her to her Dallas hotel.  after that, went to Kellar for my granddaughter's piano recital.  Then home to let the dogs out before going to DFW airport to pick up Niki's director.  Out to eat at El Fenix.  Then to Walmart to buy supplies for their suite in the hotel (sandwich meat, crackers, etc.).  After that to the hotel for them.  Then home for a nap before coming in to work at 2AM.  Now back to normal for a couple of days.

Sounds like you are really busy and having a good time.  We deserve that once in awhile.

I have been so busy lately, I find it hard to get on the computer.  So, it seems like I am not around that much but I am thinking about all of you.

Hmmm - nothing really new here.  I am having trouble with my back.  Tried heat and ice.  Neither seems to work.  It hurts from my neck down to my tailbone.  My left hand is always numb too.  I have an appointment to see the doc on Aug 11th.  Soonest I could get in.  I hope it isn't anything major.  

Anyone recognize the symptons or have any advice?

Sounds like a possible pinched nerve in your upper neck.  Possibly a spur on your cervical spine or a compressed disk.

Good morning! There is not much going on here, I go to my surgeons office for a wee fill in my band this morning. Then pick up supplies at Sams Club and home. Maybe hit the beach for some reading this afternoon. My excuse is I'm out there making vit. D for my bones because Michigan weather isn't condusive to that most of the year. It's my story and I'm sticking to it. I actually do it just because it is so relaxing and we have a lake just blocks from us.

Having 3 grandkids later this week for a couple of days and may pull in 2 more just for fun. Unless it rains, then no extras!

Today I have two doctor appts. then I plan to go by work and check in with them.  I hope I get released soon.  I will really push this morning with the therapist.  We'll see what happens.  I also need to go pick up a copy of my dental xrays for another one to look at regarding my dentures.  I'm price shopping, lol.  Otherwise I'm going to try to stay cool.

Mary, I have awful pain in my back when I get up, but it is arthritis and not much can be done. My DH's numbness in his left hand was due to a compressed disc in his neck. But by the time worker's comp figured that out and agreed to pay for surgery, he has permanent numbness in that hand, but the pain is gone.

 My DIL began having pain in her back (top to bottom) some time last year. She thought it was her bed so she bought a new one. Nope. The Dr. sent her for all kinds of tests, MRI's etc. She decided to go to a chiropractor. Had to pay since her ins won't. After one visit, an X-ray that even SHE could see the misalignment, and an adjustment, instant relief. Now she is at one visit every 3 weeks for adjustments and she is SOOO happy.

I have to go to the PO this AM. I'm mailing the quillows I made for my soon-to-be new great grandchildren. They would take up too much room in my suitcase next week. And since we have to pay for luggage, we will try to get by with as little as possible.

My 2 hummingbirds are fighting over the feeders again. I have 2 feeders that are about 12 feet apart and whichever one bird is at, the other wants it!!  Just like kids.

I have three hummingbirds (yes, I can tell each one apart) that come to my feeder -- the two largest ones continually fight over the feeder.  I am inside telling them to quit fighting -- there is plenty for everyone, but they don't listen....LOL  !

It's so stinking hot here I don't feel like doing anything. The heat index is going to be between 110-119! That's just plain WRONG. Even though heat doesn't bother me like it did when I was MO, I still don't like it this dang hot. But, what are you gonna do?

Not a lot going on here but another busy week at work. I only have two open time slots left on my books for this week, which is totally amazing! Not complaining, I'm really happy to have lots of work and appreciate that lots of people don't. So....time to do some serious meal planning and prep today so I can come home, throw dinner at Gary and then relax.
