At about 4  years out I started just seeing my PCP. My WLS surgeon is in Seattle 4 hours away. I was paying through the nose for the yearly "visit" and labwork. I really like him and he loves to keep track of people but I'd rather spend the money on other things. My PCP has added any labs that I want to the yearly one so hopefully that will continue to work out. She is a really bright woman and has taken an interest in my journey. what was  your vitamin K level out of curiosity?

Well, Folks, I guess it's my turn.......

My sister is in the hospital.  Lives day to day for $$ and no insurance.  Mother took DES to be able to keep a baby and my sister is the recipient. She's had problems her whole life.  Many that have been here know her.  She will be in the hospital until Monday, we think... and hope.  Don't have a clue how THAT bill is going to get paid, but I'm hoping they don't put a 'bandaid' on her and send her home.  Her heart is pumping on the bottom and quivering on the top.  They can't defib her because she won't live through it. They have to try medication. Keep a good thought.  I'm scared.

That's it for me. I can't think beyond it.

Sorry for the downer.... not like me.

Don't need any responses. I likely won't be back on to read them.  Just needed to spit it out.

i know you said no responses however prayers for donna....and a hug for you!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Is this the one that helped drive us around? She was very nice. Hope everything is OK. You're both in my thoughts.

Janet,
Prayers are with you. Talk to the hospital financial counsler. She will submit to medicaid and to the county to see if there is any help there. I do it all the time for people in the emergency room.

Good mornin', ya'll.

It's Friday!  I have a post op appointment this morning. I sure hope he takes these staples out! They are starting to itch. And the last 2 PT exercises make them 'pull'. Then this afternoon I have a PT session. That oughta be fun if the staples did just come out. Oh, well. I haven't needed anything for pain for 2 days. Yippee!  But it does make it harder to sleep. I have been bouncing between a couple hours in the recliner and a couple hours in bed. I will be very happy when I can sleep on the left side and spend an entire night in bed!

My DIL just came and picked up the carrot cake and the 'eyeball' muffins for work. She sits and vents for a few minutes when she stops by in the morning. I'm willing to listen. When my DH and I both worked it seemed when things went gunny-bags at one job, it went south at both jobs. We needed someone other than just each other, or co-workers to vent to. Our son stops by for lunch and a little nap most days and we get to hear about his new squadron and his adjustments. He's workin' 4 AM to 4 PM. They are both under a lot of pressure and we are happy to be their sounding boards!!

We are really into fall weather. Cool nights, warm days, less humidity. I love it!!

Everyone have a fantabulous day!

TGIF OFF family,
Last night I was in bed by 7:30! My body said enough stress and just go to bed!
Left work early yesterday to go check on mom. Her sister who is 78 hadn't had lunch yet so I took her out to lunch and let her "destress", this Aunt has been the support of 5 other people who have died in her house and now her older sister...she needed a break.
We returned and sat at mom's side, then both of mom's daughter's came in so I left.
It won't be much longer for mom and like her sister said it will be a relief when she leaves us to go to heaven. I just love Aunt Alwena, she is a hoot and is so honest, still smokes and loves to have a beer! She reminds me of that cartoon character Maxine!!!! LOL

So today after work, I will run to Hospice and see mom. I know lots of family will be there in the evening and hubby would like to go to the Allegan Fair. So we will probably go to the fair tonight.
I love to people watch and go see what the 4-H kids make. Hugs Debbie

TGIF - I think. So far this has not been a wonderful day. Woke up at 5 am to hear Tom getting sick in the bathroom.

I really wanted more sleep before work. My first time back at the gym wore me out. He's sick and I dare complain?

Just as I was stepping into the shower, my client called - she's sick. Poor thing sounded horrid.

On the bright side. I can go back to bed. It is too darned cold to be outside anyway. 50 damp degrees.

Next time I get up, it had better be on the other side of the bed 'cause I sure as heck got up on the wrong side today.

Kisses
