OT: New addition

Juliette has joined my household. She's 2 years old, a black and white ragdoll little lady, very petite. She's a sweetie, but right now she's a little scaredy cat. She's hiding out in one of the cat condos, sleeping. When she gets more comfortable, I'll take a photo and post it.

I think I met the Monroe equivalent of my friend Jeanine from Grand Rapids ... although Patricia only has about 14 cats and she's trying to adopt a lot of them out. She is my age, has MS and we have so mu*****ommon it's scary. She's a sweetie, too. I have promised to help out with her kitties. She has a couple of cat colonies she feeds, so I told her to call me if she needs some help. She said if there's any problems with Juliette to let her know and she'll take her back. Like I said, she reminds me of Jeanine so much.

Well, Juliette and I have to get better acquainted. She likes to be the only cat, so I think she will like it here.

Here's here photo ... she might get a little more adventuresome. If this doesn't work, go check out my profile.

Eileen,
I'm so happy for you and Juliette.  You both fulfill a need for each other.  She gets a loving home and you get a loving friend.
So happy for you.  What made you decide on her?  Was it love at first sight?  Details please.
Bev

Because she was living on the porch, wasn't attached to any of the other cats and she was very sweet and shy. I think she will warm  up to me in time. She reminds me a little of Scooter a first, a little of Diva at first. Not as clever as Diva, though. And not as shy as Scooter. I knew she could be happy with me and I with her.

Congrats!  I can't wait to see a picture of Juliette.

There used to be a television show here in Canada in the 50s where the host was a singer whose name was Juliette.  She was referred to as "Juliette, our pet".   Your new friend (I mean the one you brought home) made me think of her  -  a blast from the past.  Boy, am I getting old!

Eileen I am so glad you have a fur baby again. Juliette, great name for a cat.
I just had another litter born, 6 have survived so far and they are going to be beautiful. I gotta get this stray fixed, this is her 3rd litter since someone dropped off this beautiful friendly cat. One of the kittens is orange, so pretty. Yep, gotta get momma cat fixed ASAP and I will find homes for the kittens. Why do people drop off their animals in the country? Unfair, but this momma cat is a hunter. She used to swat at my dogs but has become more lets say tolerate of my dogs. They do walk around her and give her space when they go outside. I use to think dogs rule, but this momma cat rules. LOL

Congratulations on your new addition.  I'm sure she will come around once she realizes she's safe.
