what's new wednesday?
well here it is 5am and I have been more or less awake since about 3:30 thanks to Mr Angus and his outside needs and the ole bod (mine) is feeling pretty achy today after a vigorous work out last night in the pool. Having a cup of chai, taking early morning meds then will get started for the day I guess. Maybe a nap in between if I can! I have appt to see my new physician today and get INR checked. Have questions for him about knees, hands and shoulder all ready in my head. Yesterday I got home from work and work out to find Lukas left me a present, a mouse in it's death throes. YUCK! It's out in the garbage (outside) where hopefully by now it is frozen and out of it's misery. Not much new to report, I can't get on too often during the week so weekends are catch up time for me!
I echo Margo's statement about Melissa and Greg. Greg cannot ever take chemo again, his body just cannot handle it. His abdomen got distended again and he asked to have the NG tube put back down. I guess he will have a PET scan in a few weeks and go from there. Please send good thoughts and healing vibes, prayer helps too if you desire.
Everyone have a great day! I'll be the sleepy one!
The traveling bra played poker last night and while not winning had so much fun. People here so nice.
Hubby heard about a great pizza place and we went searching for it Monday afternoon and finally found it. Thin thin crust and delicious toppings. Of course I had to fini**** yesterday as we brought lots home. So the pouch is still full this morning.
Not much planned for today, Budweiser Clydesdales coming this afternoon for a free show, should be good.
Have a good day, hugs and prayers to all. Monica
Monica, "Fine" is such a nice word isn't it? And I would say you are doing more than fine! I've always wanted to see those Clydesadales in action. They are so massive and they just prance so proudly! Nothing wrong with their self esteem or body image is there? Have a wonderful time.
I used to love the thickest crust pizza I could fine. No more. It will make me sick after about two bites. We have a local spot that makes a great but pricey pizza. A very this crackerlike crust with lots of goodies on top. Of course after 2 days of liquids cardboard crust would sound good!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

It's cold here in Michigan but the roads are clear today.
This Saturday is our Bariatric Support Group so I will make that 35 minute ride into town and maybe also hit my favorite resale shop and do some grocery shopping.
Dang...didn't win the 335 million lottery but how exciting for the 2 that did! It's always fun to fantasize how you will help out other people and for me to look forward to not working! LOL
Have a great day everyone. It's choir practice for me tonight so I will miss the gym but I will work out on my gazelle and total gym. My muscles say "oh yeah...about time you are working me"!
Good Morning Margo and Friends,
Day 3 of the pouch test and I get to eat real FOOD today. One of my mom's favorite sayings was "I am so excited I could spit!" That's how I feel. Already have my meals planned.
Other than that January is moving along. So happy I have a long weekend in southern California coming up. I'll stay with Jan S and get to visit Peg in Red one day for a long visit over hopefully a healthy lunch. Haven't seen Peg in 2 years so that will be such fun.
Subbed yesterday and may be called today and tomorrow.
The cortisone shot I had in my foot two weeks ago did not take care of the swelling and pain. Have an appt tomorrow afternoon to see if anything else can be done. As long as I have a shoe with good cushioning on it is tolerable but barefeet put me in great pain. The shot has taken care of the neuroma pain the past two years. May be ready for step two (surgery) which I dread.
My future daughter in law found the perfect wedding dress this weekend. It will take me a while to find something I like and that looks nice. I'd better start looking soon in case it needs alterations. I want tea length, pretty formal but when I look at "****tail dresses" they look more like "hooker dresses" and I'm afraid I wouldn't give a "Pretty Woman" kind of appearance. Any suggestions for stores or on line sites are appreciated. I've done a bit of on line looking and my problem will be the baggy arm area. I like a princess or a line style. That is not a problem but most are sleeveless or short sleeves.
I want to look nice for the Mother/Son dance at Nathan's wedding. Another appreciation moment. At 377 lbs in 2005 I would have died rather than dance in front of 200 people. This year I look forward to it. Tho I'm more than a bit rusty; need to practice a bit. I used to love to dance but have a hubby who danced til we got married then that was it. I thnk he just went when we were dating to keep an eye on me!
It's a "warm" 26 here this morning, but there is a prediction of freezing rain. Just hope Friday is a good "fly" day for me.
I've got to get moving. You all have a good day.

Karen,
You should find a dance group. There are usually one or two unpartnered dancers and it is such good exercise. My hubby doesn't dance either, but I meet with a group of ballroom dancers and we have such a good time. I am thinking of expanding to square dancing. Look in your area. Even if you find one that insists on you bringing a partner, I'm sure you can find a man or woman who would love to have a dance night out. It is such fun.

Line dancing is great fun and great exercise. When I was in Florida I took 6 or 7 dance classes a wee****il my knees said No. I took country western line dance, broadway line dance, tap, and ballroom. My hubby likes to dance he is just always a little behind the beat which after a few measures makes him off a step. He doesn't understand that I can't turn if he starts the turn when I am on the wrong foot. Couple lessons if very frustrating for me as a result. I would love to find a line dance class around here. My knees are better but with Vertigo I don't know if I could . I'd be the drunk without the benefit of drink.
