Welcome, Pat. Yep, I have the band. I love it. I am 63 and have been banded just over 3 years. It only took me 3 fills to get to my sweet spot. Then 16 months ago everything went sideways with a little gallbladder cancer. I gained some back, but now my restriction is back where it should be and the pounds are falling off again.
I agree with you, WLS is a big decision and we all have to pick the one that is best for us! No one's is 'better' than the other's.
Just focus on your rules and what your doctor tells you to do and you can't go wrong!

     I am also From Canada.  on the Ont. QC. border. I will have my surgery Feb. 28th. I am so looking forward to it.  I am having  Gastric Plication.   This is a great bunch and you will love this site.
