Been real busy with baseball activities, believe it or not.

Rangers Banquet was Friday night.  Went with Mary and my son.

Saturday and Sunday was  Fan Fest.  Spent all day, both days at the Ballpark.  Getting pumped for the season.

Mary and I now have almost matching cars.  Both are Focus'.  She has the 2011 (naturally), I have the 2010.

Getting pumped up for our trip to Albuqueue in August for Mary's high school reunion.  Going to be staying at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort.  What a place!

Gotta go.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Hey George, how nice to see you this morning!  We miss our brother from another mother when you're not around. It sounds like you're coming into your favorite time of the year with full force. Good for you! Bet you'll be the best looking couple at the reunion.

I got one drain taken out yesterday and was able to sleep in our bed instead of the recliner last night!  WhooHOOOOO.....it's been 2 very long weeks without my bed, pillow and husband (yes, in that order...lol).  I'm still concerned about the pocket of fluid near my left elbow. It's rather uncomfortable, so I don't think I'll mind it if the doctor decides to drain it when I see him again.
Haven't even TRIED to put regular pants on yet since the one drain is still there.  Knit pants are back into my wardrobe for a while, I guess.

Obviously there isn't much going on here since it feels like I'm rambling...lol.  It's what happens when I don't work!

Love and hugs to all, especially those living with difficult situations.

Good morning, ya'll.
Well, my hip surgery went well. I have an entire new hip. They were getting me up using a walker within 18 hours of the surgery. I have pain with this. Did NOT have pain with the shoulder. I'm sure it is because this heavy leg is hanging down with no support when I have to do the 2 exercises I have to do. My DH will have to help me lift it up onto the bed for awhile. I can get it off the bed, using my other foot for support. They will send me home with a basic walker. I will have to get our son to get and install one of those high toilet seats.
I am hoping they will send me home today. My DIL has the afternoon off for an appointment, so she can come get me after that.
I am thinking of all of you facing life challenges.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Don't know what you have in mind for the toilet seat but when I had knee surgery I bought a bedside potty chair removed the "pot" and put it over my toilet.  that way I had chair arms I could use to help me get up.  I also put it in the shower so I could sit and get up easier.  Made me a lot more independent.  didn't need help getting up and down.

Sending healing wishes and prayers

Good morning George and OFF family,

Well I was off sick yesterday, caught that "gut bug" and me and my lovely toilet were friends all day. LOL
My dogs loved me being home and were either on my lap or laying on the floor next to my recliner. Still not up to par but far better than yesterday so I will count my blessings.
Sitting here taking my water and vits.

Happy Hump Day and hugs to all. Debbie

Morning George and Susan, plus all to follow:

Had a miserable afternoon and evening yesterday -- had chinese for lunch and it didn't sit well (it was a bit greasy), plus  ate a whole wheat dinner roll.  Normally bread doesn't bother me, but this roll must have gotten stuck.....Oh I was so sick and couldn't get it to come back up....live and learn.   The pouch still rules -- good to know.

My hand is doing well, but the shoulder on that arm is so painful -- think something is out of place from carrying that heavy cast around.
Put Icy/Hot on it this morning -- too bad if I smell when I get to work ...will just tell them it's my new perfume ...LOL.

Lots of issues here with so many people -- makes my heart heavy.
Just know I appreciate you all and care about each and every one.  You are always in my thoughts and prayers.

Good morning George and everyone.....

Nice to see you this morning George!!

Susan and Grammylew....glad you are both doing well after your surgeries.

As for me....one foot in front of the other today. Trying to work...glad I can do it from home!!

Nic is back from St Jude's. His cat scan looked stable. Monday we find out the results of the test that determines if he has active cancer or not. The cancer is always there but it hasn't changed in quite sometime. Praying for good results Monday.

I have been cooking meals and running errands for my BFF Pam as she had that foot surgery. She can't put any weight on that foot for 6 weeks. I have a chicken dish in the crock-pot now that I will take to her home when we go later. She has been staying with me and thank God she has. Been a couple really rough days and nights.

Need to get back to work. Prayers to all of you my friends.

Much love and hugs to all...connie d
