Tuesday morning and already up

I woke up at 3a.m. and decided there was no way I could fall back to sleep so I thought I'd start the thread today.  After such a glorious weekend in the 80's, I can't believe I got up and it's 32 degrees outside today.  Yesterday early morning rain put me out of the mowing business.  I had planned to mow my daughters front yard yesterday.  Instead baked all morning and did wash with my daughter visiting while she is taking a week off from work.  Her washer and dryer decided to die at the same time so she did her laundry over here.  I enjoyed the company.  I am getting down to the wire with my baby afghan for my new grandson.  I am going to go back to it today.  Val is teasing me that he and I will have to end up buying one if I don't get busy, lol.  The blooming Cherry in the back is in full bloom, my Iris' are starting to bloom, the dwarf burning bushes that I bought two years ago from a seed catalog were transplanted out of the main garden last month and they are leafing out and actually looking like bushes this year.  The hibiscus are budding out, my rose bushes are looking healthy this year too.  One of my baby magnolia's bloomed like crazy this year.  (it's 3 years old).  All of my hydrangea trees are looking good too.  I think it's going to be a good year for the garden.

Today I plan to crochet most of the day and see how far I can get on the afghan.  I think spring is finally here.  Everyone have a good day.

Good morning Sybul and all others.

Not sure if Spring is here yet after yesterday.  Almost 90 on Sunday, down to 46 this morning.

My Rangers won their 4th in a row last night.

Progress is being made on our house.  Just a matter of getting everything to work properly.  We had a friend knock down a wall, and in the process he had to move an electrical outlet and a light switch.  The light switch is acting up.

Have a good day.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Good morning Sybil & George. Not sleeping very well, had major work done on my teeth yesterday. Boy I woke up in so much pain today. Thank goodness for vicoden.
Still waiting for spring here! Snow this morning. My crocuses are trying to bloom.

George, I am happy your Rangers are doing so well. Tigers not so much. I see a lot of players they traded are doing great against us. So much is baseball.

Have a wonderful day all!!! Nan

Tooth pain is horrid. Hope you feel better. Vicoden helps I know it is what keeps John almost sane.
I have learned with any mouth pain, cold packs in socks helps keep swelling down and swelling always happens to me after dental work. Important to keep the blood flow open so the pain meds and antibodics  can get to the spot needed.

Morning all. Sober 153 and so proud of me.
Abundant sunshine yesterday, back of legs still on fire from it and I have a great tan berry brown base. Tstorms to arrive soon. Watching the storm line moving across America on the Weather Channel makes me humble as Mother Nature strutts her stuff.
OT: Current Political events
Also enjoying watching the...what should I call it...Kinetic Unraveling of Current Administration OR Kinetic White House FlipFlop Dance OR Kinetic Re-Election and WE will Say or Do ANYTHING to Insure 4 more Years-- even go back on what we said we'd change or promised, that is currently happen. What a way to open the re-election surge, Gitmo stays open. MMM how much did he spend to come to this conclusion...could have used the money to help military families in so many ways.
Great game last night, congradulations to both teams.
Not much planned for day. Hope all are well and safe.
Hugs, Monica

Good mornin' ya'll.
George, I'm so glad your team is kickin' butt! I don't really follow sports much. Just Oregon Ducks in football. My DH is very happy Butler is in whatever they are in??!!!
Oh, Monica, so proud of you! And this election/budget stuff is making my blood boil! We will soon have no money. Government workers will have to figure out how to survive. I used to be thankful that our income and health insurance were from the government and we would always be able to depend on it. Now I am a more than a little worried!
This morning a quick trip to WM before my PT. Want to get tucked in my house safely, before the T-storm**** It is all around us!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Good morning Sybul and OFF family, Happy Tuesday.

Well folks the sun is shining in my office as I type this and that puts a smile on my face. I love sunshine and us Michiganders know what I'm talking about! LOL

I have a Quarterly staff meeting today at 2:30 and I just hate meetings. Yuck! But I will go and put a smile on my face and maybe learn something or dispel gossip if I bring up all the stuff I'm hearing around here. I guess you never know what to really do. I'm not a hypocrite and always put myself out there. I'm honest and in the workplace...maybe too honest? LOL
They will discuss the Gallup results and to tell you the truth, people just give high marks when they do this questioner and it's suppose to be anonymous but at the end of the survey they ask what level you work and your zip code number...so much for anonymity! Sigh...
Okay enough *****ing on that one.

So I'm finally down a pant size and getting a grip on cutting out bad sugar and carbs. It's so stressful at work all I want is chocolate and chips and people I'm staying Mindful of what I'm putting in my mouth....oh to have that "honeymoon period" back! How easy that was for us. No craving sweets but I knew it would all come back eventually. Now we are living like "normal people" but what the hell is "normal people"??? I mean 2 of my GF here at work who I thought at one time were "naturally thin" and didn't have to work at their weight...well that's just not true for them. Guess what? They drink low cal protein shakes for breakfast and only eat half of sandwich for lunch along with their fresh fruit and they exercise. That's what they have to do to be a size 2/4. Now, I'm a curvy gal with boobies. I like having my butt and boobies and that's the truth so I think I will be okay with my goal size of 8/10 or 12 and right now I'm in my 12's and some are starting to hang...finally. Sorry this is so long...just letting my thoughts fly here.
I really give thanks for all those fresh veggies and fruits right now! LOL hugs Debbie

Hey Sybul, hopefully you're not going to be back here for a long time today, which will mean you're working your little fingers off on that afghan!  Your garden and yard sound wonderful. This is such a pretty time of the year in AR.

Not much happening here. Off to the salon today, doing 3 clients....not great but better than nothing. It's okay, down time lets me play my new obsession..Words With Friends on my iPad. Believe me, a former red headed member here is a tough opponent!  If any of you play, my game name is Susandoeshair, so join me for a game. For those of you who don't play, it's like scrabble on an iPhone or iPad. Very addictive!

Alrighty, then. Off I go!  Have a great day!!!!

Good Morning OFF
Its sunny in my part of Michigan today also!   still cold  but maybe spring will be here for a day or two before the fall season!!
Hubby is enjoying his work now  but for the first time is having trouble sleeping daytimes,  I doubt 3 noisy little girls help.  This am  I went and warmed up the motor home a bit and sent him out there to see if that helps.  I have to do some major grocery shopping today  but cant take one of my little ones into my own community so I guess we will go to St Johns a few miles away.  Angel Mary doesn't  have a car right now so I think Ill go take her to see her best friend also as she lives there.   A stop at their McDs with the big play area will popular with the small ones.
Prayers going up from my house to  yours.   Have a great day everyone and think warm thoughts so all of us in the still cold spots get some of the warm some of you are bragging about!!!!!!
