What's Up on Wednesday?

Hi Trish and all,
         I'm up but I think I'm still asleep. lol Have a busy day planned. It's a good thing for me to be busy. I sat around for years before my WLS. Now I can be more active and I'm loving it. What a change in my life.
        More AZ fires. One started at Sierra Vista where my dentist has his office. It's a pretty big town. Hope they get it under control fast.

Morning Trish and OFF family!!!!

Ok lets try this again....grrrrrrrrrrr went to post and I am not sure what happened to it!!! Maybe I hit the cancel instead of submit?? Not sure...sighs

Anyhow had a scare last night with my neighbor that lives in front of us. She called me to ask if I could give her a ride home from the hospital if she had to go, she had 911 there now...I told her to hang on and we would be right there!!! We ran to her apartment and there were 3 EMT's there with her!! I thought it was her husband that needed help...he isn't doing to good. But it was her and they said she is doing ok not to get upset. OK...whats happening? Her heart was racing and she has a pace maker...she is fine now. Told her that it was up to her to go in to ER or not. She asked them to stay a few minutes and see if she would still be ok. They stayed. She is fine. They told her if she needed them again to call right away and they would come back again! I told her the same thing. She was worried that I had to work and she wasn't sure if I would be upset or not that she called me!! I told her to NEVER feel like that we were there if they needed us no matter what time it was or if we had to work!!!! So they got her all settled in and I stayed with her a few more minutes to make sure she would be ok. I told her that I was going to put her number in my phone so I knew it was her when I got another call...she said she would do the same with our numbers so she didn't have to look for them again. So I came back to apartment and bed. Prayed she would be ok. She is doing fine this morning. She is supposed to call her dr and see what he wants her to do...come in or what. Waiting to hear on this. Told her I would take her if she wanted me to.

Weather here today is nice supposed to warm up to about 77*. About time the warmer temps came back again!!! So tired of being chilly!!! Want to sit out in the sun today while its out...supposed to cloud up and rain move in tonight or tomorrow. Still to cold to go in the pool but that is ok with me. Hearing stories of things that are going on at the pool and want to sit out there and see if its true or not. Kids smoking pot and swearing like troopers and leaving the garbage all over pool area not caring what they do or who is around. Guy across the hall from up is about tready to punch this guys lights out for what he is doing out there....so it will be an interesting summer at the pool....Rick is in charge of pool this year so I can also help out keeping an eye on the happenings when I am out there. Also seeing drinking going on in pool area and that is NOT allowed inside at all...neither is glass...and they are also using glass bottles in there!!! Well let me catch them in there with it....H.B.I.C. ya know....LOL

So time to get moving and see what needs to be done while I am waiting for it to warm up some.

Judy, you are such a good and caring neighbor -- I'm sure the lady really appreciates you.

Well, I got good news/bad news at the foot doc yesterday.  My second toe looks better with wearing the toe cap, but it still needs to be fixed along with 3rd and 4th toes, so I will be having more surgery on my R foot sometime in July.  I asked if this was a permanent solution and he said "YES".    You know, all these problems have occurred since I had hip revision surgery two years ago in July and ended up with "foot drop" that never resolved.   It's depressing not to be able to walk good.

We have a cool rainy day here today.  We actually can use some showers -- it's been a while now.  I wanted to get my outside windows washed yesterday, but never did.  There's always tomorrow.....LOL

Work is extremely slow here today, I don't like to not be busy.

Thanks Pat!!! I try to be nice to people. This woman wasn't very friendly when we first moved in but after she got to "know" us she now likes us ALOT! She has even offered her car to Rick if he has to go anyplace when I am at work and have the car!! Now how nice is that? Haven't heard from her on how her dr appointment went yesterday so will have to stop over there later and see. I do know she was gone most of the day so not sure if she was getting tests done or what.

Good luck on your toe surgery!! I wish mine would be ok and not hurt me like it does...I need to find another foot dr here because the one I had I think is a quack now!!

Morning OFFr's,

Haven't been on here consistently the past few days, things pulling me this way and that and some stuff going on with my adult children, not speaking to my son and don't feel like talking about it, other than to say, unless his behavior changes, I will be fine to leave things as they are between us, tired of his passive/aggressive behavior with me, have to find a way to spend time with my grandchildren minus their parents.  My older daughter has stuff going on and so I will be taking a trip to visit two weeks from today, down there from 29th to 4th, leaving from work on the 29th and have an evening flight on the 4th.

Have been watching what I am eating and going to the gym 4x a week, scale does not seem to know what I'm doing, but I have learned I cannot turn my power over to what it says, I know I'm doing what needs doing and time will take care of the rest.

Tonight I am headed to Barix, hope to see you there Trish.

Sorry, Laureen, I am beat.  I was having trouble staying awake on the drive home.  The morning was spent with four and a half hours of lecture/discussion training.  The afternoon was spent taking turns simulating patients who act out and practicing how to deal with different scenarios.  Then, we had to take a test on the morning's training.  After that, we hadto go to a time out room and practice putting volunteers in restraints.  That unit's A/C was not working and the room had no air circulation.  I was dripping sweat by the end.  Another half hour later, for filling out paperwork, and then the log drive to pick up Utley, and then a traffic jam part of the way home from there.  I am not even sure I will be awake to take Utley for his last walk this evening.  From the looks of it, he is so wiped, he may not need it.

Give Dennis a hug for me.

I left work at 4 and did not make it to Langhorne until 5:45, thanks to the traffic, amazes me that between the stadiums and Academy Road things are sooooooo slow and then it opens up, if only people drove the way I wanted them to (lol).  So sorry you missed it, it was truly an inspirational meeting, not to mention all the old timers that showed up. . .  but you can't be everywhere and do everything, getting back into the swing of work will take some time. . .  however, I think you could benefit from coming to Barix at least once a month, just my opinion and well you know how that goes (lol). . .

Good Almost Afternoon where I am to all my OFF Friends,

So I took Karen C's advice. I scanned & emailed my 5 yr weight history to my surgeon's office this morning. They could read it legibly, much better than the faxed copy. Now for the really BIG NEWS... DRUM ROLL PLEASE...I have my appointment for my consultation on 7/19/11!!! They tried to get it sooneer but my surgeon had to have surgery himself and will be out until 7/15. They promised to call if he comes back sooner and can see me. They also assured me that I COULD be scheduled for surgery as early as the end of July!

WHOO HOO!!! WOOT WOOT!!! YIPPEE!!!

OMG, Kristi.  I have my appointment with my surgeon on July 19th also!  I just found out yesterday.  I am so excited I can hardly stand it.  I imagine I will be a little behind you on the surgery side since my surgeon is pretty booked up, but I am still excited. 

OMG! This is so exciting! I can't believe we are getting so close!
