Saturday What's Up?

 Hi All,
I am making some split pea soup from a Jewish Mix Manechewitz. It comes in a long tube. I addes frozen spinich. and some other things. Should be good.
it is kind of a veggie day here. it is hot and I am just doing laundry, and  putting things away.
I decided not to go to the family reunion that my family is having in augest after my daughters wedding. I am not liking some of the remarks some people are making to me on facebook so I decided that I dont need to show my face there....... 
Other than tthat my my life is boring. Working 32 hours this week and Carl is comming home on Wednesday.

Nan,  I tried Preen once, without too much luck.  Best thing I have found for weeds is to wet strips of newspaper and lay them out around your plants, then cover with mulch.  Nothing seems to keep them all out, though, does it?

Late evening post from me. Hello all my OFF friends!

Busy day at work today. Had to go to one beach house and look for a missing DVD player remote. Really? In a 5 bedroom house with a game room and loft den, I need to find one remote. Success, right where I thought it would be, next to the TV in the loft, on top of the DVD player. Imagine that? Does climbing all those stairs and lokking under beds count as exercise?

Went to a condo after that to determine the strange substance on a sofa and the carpet by the sofa. Didn't know you could stretch gum out that long and thin. Someone had swirled it all over the sofa cushions. The carpet had black magic marker on it, like a small child was handed a marker and told to draw a pretty picture. Nothing surprises me anymore.

Hot and very humid today. Finally got some rain here. We just got a shower and expecting a storm to come rolling through soon, I hope.

My sis-in-law rented a huge vacation home in Minnesota last summer, so we could all go to the Mall of America.  The rules were simple...no moving furniture, and no eating in the living room.  The living room and kitchen made up one huge room, so you could sit at the high counter on the stools that were there, and watch TV.  My special needs nephew kept trying to get us to let him eat while sitting on the couch and we were adament about it.  Even my grandchildren were watched and made to eat only in the kitchen or dining room.  I don't understand the ignorance of some people damaging, or allowing their kids to damage property like you described. 

The thing about the remote is just amazing.  Like the family that came in for this week couldn't take a look around for you and see the remote where you found it?  Pitiful.
