Who expects what from you?
Some of us need to be pushed more, some with a firm talking to and some with a gentle hand holding and encouragement. All of us are different. I'm not the food police or exercise expert. All I do know for me is I have to move to lose. I have to make the right food choices too. You need to decide on how you need support. Hugs and enjoy and ponder this one! Debbie
Who expects what from you?

Posted: 22 Jun 2011 02:55 AM PDT From your mom to your best friend to your office mate -- all sorts of people have expectations of you. Some of those people (your best friend, your significant other...) you choose. Some of them (your office mate, your mom, your kids...) you don't. But all of them have expectations of who you are and what you should do. |
You are trying your best so don't kick yourself when you are down girl. Hold your head up high. Keep posting, we are here to love and support you.
Trying your best...right now that is what you do....that is what you are doing.
Life continues around you, the world keeps going and you just have to hang on! Hugs Debbie
Hi Debbie...I just read this post of yours and had to respond to it...remember a few years ago maybe more like several years ago...dr phil has a book out and in reading it I was similar to your post...Get away from those that trap you ito doing harm....well I had to chuckle at dr phil because if I got rid of all those that made me eat and do the wrong things and stress me out...I would have had to get rid of my whole family!!!! LOL But anyhow since having WLS my family has become more supportive and they do question me on things I eat now...BIG change from years ago!!! :-)
Thanks for the memories...glad I am no longer going through those. Happy that I did have WLS and am doing well on keeping me on track of what I eat now!
HUGS
I like this one very much! I especially like "I expect you to mindfully and actively choose what you want to eat, how you spend your free time, and who you choose to spend it with. I expect you to understand you are worth putting the time and effort into." That's very good.
I might print that one and stick it on the frig door.
Thanks for sharing!
Like the newbies...get all their protein in and dealing with all the vitamins, getting their water in and walking.
2 Years: some fighting regain
3 Years: some fighting regain and knowing they have to move to lose now.
4 Years: This is me...fighting regain, chronic pain and pushing through it. Pushing myself to exercise and trying my hardest to reach above my pain. Not taking pain pills and just pushing through it. Life happens and it happened to me. I'm not allowing myself to fall into a deep hole.
Both my parents were depressed and both died young at age 52 and 59. I'm going to kick my butt to the curb if I don't exercise. I'm still a success and failure and can't are not in my vocabulary.
So ladies (and gentleman) we are worth the time and effort in how ever we reach our size goal.
I'm not giving up and I'm moving and grooving!!
Yes Vickie...stick that on your frig!! Excellent place to put it! Hugs Debbie
