Good Morning OFF Family,
I tried to post a few minutes ago, and it did not go through.

I will be heading in to work a little later.  I have to call my boss to let her know I am coming in.

Today is my grandson, Lincoln's birthday.  He is 2 years old.  I remember having the privilege of being at the hospital the day he was born.

This evening,  I will head to my AA meeting.  I believe the Phillies are in Colorado, so the game will start later.  Works for me.

Hugs,
Trish

Morning Trish and all you lovely ladies ...I am up ready for the world , I slept in this am , got up at 500 instead of 4:00..:) WOW what a difference an hour can make .
Now I can go forth and gather :)
Trish your like me , you can bring home the bacon then cook it today as that old song says since you are  going in to work . Thankd GOD we can both make it and we both have a job ..
I was calculating yesterday about when I can retire maybe and although we have a 25 year retirement where I work, I cant as that is only 2 years away and I have to have the insurance so I ahve to staty UNTIL i can get on Medicare ( 7 years away ) and pray it is there when the time comes .
To be honest I dont want to retire completely from work ever..  Maybe less hours a week but never and just stay home ..Do any of you feel like that ?
I am only thinking of it as I live 2 hours from my family and my mom and cant move closer due to my job untll I can retire and her health is failing now ... I am torn about that ..
Praying for a good day for all that need it and pray for me ..
Remember to eat your rainbow...all food colors today and do your exercise ... It helps you mentally and physically
Hugs

Morning Trish and Shirley,
Hope I will be in a better mood today -- got in a real funk yesterday from being alone all day and no human contact!

Have a lady coming at 1:30 today for a piano lesson.  She's my cleaning angel and I give her two lessons a month in exchange for cleaning my house.  I am actually retired from teaching, but this was too good to pass up.

Tonight my bariatric support group is coming to my home for our meeting....it's a small group and since I am not driving yet, they agreed to come here.
I am seriously thinking of turning the group over to someone else....

Well, need to get cleaned up and dressed and ready for my day.

Best wishes to all, prayers to those who need them.

Good morning Trish and OFF family to post later.

Had a wonderful weekend camping in Scottville. Went to Lake Michigan and enjoyed the water and sun, went walking and read a book, watched the kids play at the campground and didn't hear a phone ring! LOL

So thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers for the new job.
Guess what?
I got it. Now I have to talk to my manager on when I can leave this one and move on to new adventures of a new position.
It's a BA position (unit secretary) on 1 North (our Psych ward) at our hospital. It's on the 3-11 shift and I don't mind working the off shift, one day I hope to move up to the day shift. So I have plans ahead for me.
1. Taking walks in the morning when I get up and ride my bike
2. Go to the gym before work and add Zumba classes cuz they are in the middle of the day.
3. Continue my workouts in the pool before work.
4. I will continue to volunteer my time on the No One Dies Alone shift, just gotta pick a day shift during the week and maybe fill in as a volunteer in our Gift Shop.

I have made many friends with my volunteers and want to stay in touch with them.

Sending hugs and prayers for all in need. Debbie

Congrats on getting the job, you will love the evening shift (or at least I do, but then I don't like getting up early).

Now everyone can get it going for me (and my brother) and our jobs. Gary especially, he really needs a job. Poor boy has been unemployed for nearly two years now. Can't imagine it. I have more nibbles than he does ... I had more when I was unemployed ... of course, I'm casting a bigger net, too.

Hi Eileen, I used to work 3-11 for about 10 years and loved that shift. It seems like you either love it or hate it. I'm looking forward to new adventures!

Hi Trish and everyone,

Monica,   I'm am so happy for your length of sobriety. You rock!!

Debbie,    I'm a 3-11 shift person. It was perfect for me. I did my house cleaning and exercise after I got home. I can't do that now as my sister is a light sleeper.

I'm up and moving at a good hour for me. Woke up at 4AM but refused to get out of bed. Finally got up at 7AM. It's August 1st already. Where did the summer go? I'll be heading to Indiana in 3 weeks. I found out the wedding I'm going to is in a none A/C building. With the humidity I don't think I'll be very comfortable. Then I'll be heading to Florida about September 6th or 7th. It's going to be a long ride since we are stopping at my brother's in South Carolina. My friend who is driving has 2 people she wants to see. Of course I want to see you, Monica, and anyone else who is close. Spending most of our time in Orlando, but will also stop by the Tampa area. This is my 1st trip since my surgery and I'm concerned about food on the the day of the flight. I'm ordering a case of protein shakes to my friend Maryann's. Also to my friend Diane. Need to pack protein bars. I want this trip to go well.

I've rambled long enough.   Take care,    Mag

P.S.  I got the results of my 6 month labs. Everything is normal except my WBC is high, my B12 is high and my Vitamin A is low. I don't know some of the tests, but since they are normal I won't worry about them.

Hey, Mag, if  you're going down toward Tampa, Carla's down there.

I can't imagine you're driving through Louisiana? I'm in NE Louisiana. Would love to meet you but I understand, you shouldn't go out of your way.
