Finally Friday!
Debbie I continue to hope for a good outcome for your Charlie cat, I know all too well that waiting and hoping for them to survive what is a medical crisis, when Dillinger had his emergency surgery, it was touch and go for the first 48 hours and I went there thinking I was going to say my last goodbye and between the time I left work and arrived he had finally gotten up and greeted me with his waggy stumpy when I arrived, I was blessed for 9 months longer than they told me, so I will send you my best thoughts that you have your Charlie cat for a long time to come. . .
Hugs, Laureen

Hope all will be OK with Charlie ... did he have all his vaccines? Just curious. I had a cat (Kittle) who hadn't gotten his shots when he was young (that was the last time I did that) and I took in someone's cat that had distemper, and Kittle got it. He survived. He was one tough cat, let me tell you. With Charlie being outside, he could have picked up something like that. Or maybe he got bit and picked up an infection. Or drank contaminated water. Or got bit by a skeeter. All sorts of bad things outside.
Keep us updated. Cats are important creatures.

Charlie is still with us. Her temp went from 106 to 103...I don't know anything about cats but I just love this one. No, she didn't have any of her shots but I'm making sure she gets them and I told hubby Charlie will never to outside again!
I just talked to the vet and she said I maybe able to take her home tonight. Sigh....

Giggles! Now in this case it's true, I win on this one from now on. I'm not caving in.
Great News!!!
I get to pick up Charlie after work.
I will keep her contained in the Bathroom for a few days so the dogs don't bug her, she will need her rest.
Whhooooooo! Now I will have a great weekend.
On Monday I start my new position. I'm so excited. Thanks everyone for the good thoughts, prayers and swinging chickens for my Charlie. Hugs Debbie

Glad Charlie's coming home. Cats amazingly can come back from a lot of things. Kittle, like I said, recovered from distemper (and then I made sure he got his shots ... and all my cats did from then on, even if they were indoor cats, because you never know).
Yeah, all you need to know is that you love him. I didn't know anything about cats when I got Kittle and Cinnamon. I didn't even like cats that much. But I grew to love them and ... well, now I have Juliette. I actually like cats more than dogs ... easier to take care of. I love to listen to them purr. I still like dogs, too, but cats fit my lifestyle better.

Sorry about your lump too Nancy. Do you get the mammos every 6 months? I have to go to SF for mine regularly like that since I had my breast cancer treatment. They do watch me like a hawk, but I appreciate that. They absolutely know what they are doing- my thoughts are with you as you go down this road again. Hopefully it is nothing. I think it is amazing that they can look at the placement of specks of calcium and see cancer. What a world we live in!
My Mom's memorial service was yesterday and it was beautiful. Jackie- thank you so much for the gorgeous lilies! I was so surprised and touched. My mom's casino bus company sent flowers too- it made me laugh. I was able to get through my eulogy. I had to stop a few times to recompose myself. The slide show was way beyond my expectations and the music- perfect. Most of my family spoke. Our love for Mom was so clear. I hope she was able to see the whole thing. The chapel was full and tears were shed. At the reception afterward I had filled crystal containers with sand and shells and starfish... gorgeous still life groupings on each table- maybe 12 containers down the center of each table - very artistic. My oldest brother says "Let's get this **** off the table and eat!" Oh man... lol... I told him over my dead body.... that **** took hours to arrange! My uncle took pictures of it all... I'll try to post a few.
Now I have three days to recover before I head back to work on Monday. Thank you for all of your kind thoughts these past months. Please keep me close for a while. I know that I'll be OK but right now I'm very sad.
