The memorial service sounds beautiful. A true celebration of LIFE!!
Now you go a head and cry, be sad, do whatever you need to do now.
Now after my mom died I made my then ex hubby take me to Cedar Point and I rode on all the roller coasters and screamed my head off! I'm sure mom was smiling down on me from heaven. It was a great way to vent. I advocate scream out in the forest too! Hugs Debbie

Good Morning Nancy, OFFr friends,
Nancy, I know by all that you do and speak you have great strength as well as the ability to accentuate the positive in all things and that is what I pray helps you get through this and you seem to have great faith in who is going to be your care provider and that too is good, so my wishes are for you to have the best possible of all outcomes!
What a beautiful day and here I sit at work, but that is ok cause I'm visiting with you, my friends, and what work I already had, is done and what will come I'll be ready for. Good news is I get out of here at 3:30 today and I'm thinking of taking Roxie to the big dog park out in Medford, she was just too cute last night when I arrived home, she greeted me as if I'd been gone for days and after I fed her, I asked if she wanted to go for a walk, OMG, she got so excited and after her initial dancing around to say 'oh do I ever' she sat right up for me to put her gentle leader collar on and we took a nice walk, it was a little warm, so it was not a long walk, but we came across other dogs and I got her to behave appropiately, as I have been working hard with her, so she sits on command and does not get all crazed because she wants to rush off and play with them, or on rare occasions wants to get at them, the latter is when the other dog is extremely excited and wants to get at her, anyway, then we came across a cat and tha was the real challenge with her, but I took control and got her to mind me, so she is really becoming a dog that I can walk and take anywhere and that has always been my goal. This has been a work in progress, mainly because I have a nice backyard and don't have to walk her, but for her sake and mine it is better that I do at least once a day, but with the very hot weather we've had, I have not done it much in recent weeks, she does not tolerate the heat well. Anyway, that is my plan for after work, then I will likely relax as I am really tired from all my early mornings at the gym this week. Plans for the weekend include Tony and going shopping with my friend Owen to help him shop for a gift for his 30th wedding anniversary.
Wishing you all the best possible day and peace and strength to face lifes more challenging aspects!
Hugs, Laureen

Laureen,
You have managed to get your Roxie to obey - all 150 lbs of her? (maybe not quite that big but she is a good sized girl)
I can't get this 7 lb Baxter to do anything. He laughs at me, talks back when I say no, and does as he pleases. He can't be enticed with treats and sure doesn't cower if I raise my voice.

Good morning Nancy B and OFF-
Nancy- I'm going to think positive on your lump and say that it's just a benign cyst. Sounds like your doctors are on top of it and that you'll have results fairly soon.
Julia- Happy that your Mother's memorial service went well. Take the rest of the weekend to veg out and grieve a bit before going back to work.
Grammylew- Glad you back is better and I agree with your advice to your son about staying ahead of the pain. He should call his doctors and have them prescribe something that doesn't make him nauseous.
Well my cousin left today so I'm back on my own. Things are going well although I think I may be over eating based on the discomfort I get. Last night I actually used my infrared massager to burp myself. Now it could have been the massager that caused the burping or it could have been the contortions I twisted myself into to get the massager in the right spot of my back.
So today I'm going to focus on small portions. I'm not really hungry at all and I'm not having stomach growling to tell me I'm hungry. The closest I get is a dull ache in the area of my stomach which is relieved by liquids or food. When I say food I mean greek yogurt and pudding. Otherwise it's protein drinks and soups still. Yesterday I tried an Unjury shake which may have been the reason for the discomfort. It resulted in a fair amount of gas. I think there is something in Unjury that I am allergic to, so I'm going to stick to Syntrax Nectars at this point.
So I have several loads of laundry to do today and get out on the clothesline to dry in the sun. I have to start working on this retirement quilt or it will not be done when the man retires! Last night I thought I was finished with my second knitted sock when I discovered that I had made a major mistake and had to rip it all out and start at the heal again. Damn I hate senior moments! So today I may also get the second sock finished.
Have a great day ladies, thoughts and positive vibes to all of you.

Good morning, all!
God, how I HATE computers! I am struggling to restore my laptop to working order and to reload my software and my backup files. I just hate this stuff! My goodness, can they not just make it SIMPLE? My laptop originally had Windows Vista on it, but when they sent the new hard drive and restoration software to me this week, it has Windows 7 on it. Well, the wireless printer I bought to go with the laptop doesn't recognize Windows 7. It only works with Windows Vista. Arrrggghhh!
I have a headache from working on this sh*t.
Still haven't dropped a single pound. It's been over 3 weeks. I did so want to be in Onederland by our Canada vacation, but that's not going to happen now. Kind of depressing.
I'm washing clothes and getting things ready to pack for Canada. Got a haircut in a little while and lots of errands to run in town. Busy, busy day ahead.
Nancy B, I'm sorry to hear about the lump. Praying that it is benign. Julia, glad to hear that the memorial service went as you wished. I'm sure it was beautiful. Grammy, glad to hear that your son's surgery went well. Laureen, so glad you have Roxie girl in your life! Pets make us so happy, don't they? DebbieJean, praying for Charlie cat to make it!
Love you all!

I know what you mean about computers driving you crazy. I have Windows 7 on my laptop and bought a wireless printer soon after. Figured it should work with the laptop, right? It never did because even with downloading the right driver, it wasn't configured to work with Windows 7, and I could never get it to work ... it printed at first, but the scanner never worked. By the time I figured this out, the warranty was expired.
So now I have a printer that actually works with Windows 7. If anyone has a computer with Vista or anything before Windows 7 and wants a printer cheap, let me know.
