Good Morning OFF Family,
I hope everyone is having a wonderful, restful weekend.  I am glad it's here, because my son is racing in a half marathon in Philadelphia tomorrow.  I have seen him run in two other half marathons, one in Manhattan, and one in Tampa.  I'm so proud of him for developing this exercise routine.  He's been running, or biking, for several years now.  He challenged my daughter to train for a half marathon in Lansing next May.  I know she started running a couple of months ago to get rid of the baby weight, coz Franklin is four months old now.  Since she lives in Michigan, near Lansing, she may take him up on it.  She ran cross-country four years in high school.  A cross-country race is 3.2 miles.  A half marathon is 10.1 miles.  I was never an athlete as a kid.

I am getting ready to go to my AA meeting.  There is an OA meeting this morning that I can also make.  Not sure if I can get to that one.  I need to go to my sponsor's to return some cash to her she lent me.  I hate borrowing from people like that.

The rest of todaay will be spent trying to get my apartment looking better.  A friend stopped by yesterday unexpectedly, and I was embarassed by the clutter.  I know I can't go out this evening, because there is a huge oldies concert down at the river, and I will never get a parking spot if I move my car after 3:00.  I've had to park blocks away in years past.

Well, that is my agenda today.  Hope everyone is having a nice day.

Hugs,
Trish

Good Morning Trish and OFF-

Trish I'm sure that my clutter will beat your clutter hands down.  People come over and I'm embarassed but it doesn't motivate me to clean up.

It's not sunny here in Maine today.  We're having some showers and then it's supposed to cool down a lot.  This coming week we'll have lows in the 30's.

Today I'm headed to the Old Town Canoe Factory Sale.  Apparently they have these sales twice a year and you can get good deals on canoes and kayaks.  I've wanted to take up kayaking after the weight loss.  This will be one step closer to meeting that goal.  Not that I have time to be kayaking around the lake since I have so much to do to get ready to shut down the cabins.  Anyway, enough stressing about shutdown and buying a kayak.  I'm just going to live in the moment.

I'm back on liquid protein shakes for two meals a day.  I need to get the weight off that I gained during the wedding weekend.  I'm also exercising everyday again even if I have physical therapy.  The scale moved a bit yesterday so I have hope that I will be able to get the regain off before my appointment with my surgeon on October 9.

Positive thoughts to all of you in need.  Hope everyone has a great fall weekend.

Morning OFF family!

Well today we go shopping for GOOD foods for me so I can get back on track again and get this added weight off that seems to have found me once again!! Hard to start on a wekend so monday the work begins for me!! I am also having Rick hook up the WII game system so I can use it to work out. None of this sitting and watching tv and eating for me when I can be playing games and getting a workout!!!

Yesterday was the 40th anniversary of my dad's death. I was feeling down and also down about having yet another week to wait for my test results when on FB one of the sites I belong to Rangers Legacy Equine Rescue drew my name to win a BREYER horse!!!!!!!! I collect that brand of horse and I was so excited to win this one! Made me happy. Those of you that are friends with me on FB can look and see what it looks like if you haven't seen it yet. It will me mailed out to me soon she said.

Went out for Mexican food last night at our favorite place here in town and to our surprise they had a Marachi Band playing!! It was fun!! They made their rounds to each table playing and came to our table and asked if they could play a romantic tune...sure! So they did...it was familiar but not sure what one....LOL after it was over with I told them it was beautiful but what was the name of the song in english? They looked at me funny and walked away!!! WTH????? There went their tip!!!!!!!! But they were good. So was the food!!

No word on my neighbor yet. So far all we know is he had his attack in the shower and was convulsing when his wife found him. Rick had to go over to do some repairs from when they got him out of the bathroom. He had also just found out his daughter is going to have a baby girl next year. Hope he gets better so he can see this baby girl he so wanted her to have!! She wanted a boy...Keep the prayers going for Ken if you would. Thankyou!!

Well best get going here and get dressed so we can hit the stores...kind of chilly here today its only 57* right now up from 50* when I first got up...brrrr cold front came through yesterday like they said!!!

Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!

HUGS

Good Saturday Morning OFF family!

Yesterday was my first day back from vacation...11 days off and what a wonderful relaxation.
Had a blast camping @ Ludington State Park, did my bike riding, walking and kayaking for the first time ever. It kinda hurt my gut going against the current on the river but the next day when we kayaked at Lost Lake I did much better, my arms sure did feel it! I think I would like the canoe better...but I did have fun and looking at all the birds and fish.

Hopefully we can do a couple of long weekends for camping for the Fall colors.

I'm doing a double shift today so I want to take a break later during my lunch hour and walk around the hospital. It was a short night last night when I got home at midnight then back at 0700 today...Ugh! But I'm wide awake thanks to coffee! Drank my EAS protein drink for breakfast cuz lets face it, my poor body was confused with just sleeping 4 hrs. Tonight I will go directly to bed and zzzzzzzzzz!

Hugs and prayers for all in need, if I get time I'll go back and see what people's happenings were! Debbie

Yes, my daughter lives in Perry, Michigan.  I usually drive to visit her, but have flown a few times, into Flint.

Colleen is a teacher in Morrice, on a year leave because she just had her third baby in May.  She also has a three and five year old.

I'm hoping to get there sometime in November, Lord willing.

Hugs,
Trish

Hello everyone  -  just thought I'd pop in for a minute and wish all a happy, beautiful Saturday.
This fall-like weather makes me want to get outside and do something because I know that soon enough, winter will be here.
I am looking for cheap perennials today as I have a landscaper who is going to landscape a new design at the front of my new house.  The perennials that I have purchased so far include, a mugo pine, weigela, viburnum, dwarf lilac, "everlasting" hydrangea, Japanese maple, weeping nootka and some others that I can't remember.  i will probably have too many before I am done, but they are all on sale and they will be so expensive if I wait for next summer.
Other than that, I am going to work for an hour or two to prepare for the coming week.  I can't believe that the semester is already into its third week  -  time sure flies when I'm having fun!  I am also taking my G. shepherd with me to the new house so that I can hang some drapes and she can sniff around the yard and house and become used to them as we will be living there in the next month or two.  I bought the house originally as an investment so that I could rent it out.  However, all of the hardwood floors have been sanded and new tile has been installed in the bathroom and kitchen  -  everything looks fantastic, so I will move into the new house and either rent my own house or sell it.  The new house is just a smaller version of the house I am living it  -  they both have great character.  Other than that, I will chillax.
I hope that everyone is doing well.
