Monday With the Munchkins
Good evening OFF family.
I ask for your prayers today for my girlfriend, her 15 yr. old niece committed suicide last Friday.
All because of that damn Facebook and bullying. Sad. Of course they are beating themselves up about not seeing the signs.
We certainly live in a different world today. The family asks for prayers and to not let Darce's death be in vain.
I talked to one of the psych doc's about Facebook and she said that she wished parents would not let children use facebook or at least with supervision. Yeah...what teen is gonna let mom or dad look over their shoulder while talking to friends. But using facebook everyone can see, you put it out in cyberspace on the Internet and it's there even if you block people, somehow they get the info.
Remember when we were kids we did slam books or pass notes to one another? Mostly the slam books were "getting to know you better thing" but once in awhile mean questions were asked like who do you hate most? I would always reply...mean question...not worth answering!
Of course my mother use to tell me I had an "old soul".
Tomorrow I'm going to talk to my grandchild about facebook for sure. Debbie
