Monday, Monday

Good day all. Just a quick note to let you know I am still alive. I have been sick for about 3 weeks. Doc says it's the flu. The worst of it is no energy, which is really bad because I was that way before the flu. Had 3 appts. last week & again no chemo for at least 3 more mos. I have ben losing weight as the thought of food makes me sicker. I am doing  juicing so at least I am getting nutrition.

Again I thank God for my DH. He has been sick too but he does so much for me.

Trish I hope you can get moved soon. Nancy B. you are such an inspiration to all of us. Vicki, you are a wonderful grandmother & mom. For anyone I may have forgot know I think of you    & pray for you every day.

Nan, so good to hear from you today.  So sorry you have had the flu.  Ugh.  Just what you needed, right?  Very good news about the chemo though.  Answered prayer!

Hang in there, sweetie!  Think of you often.

When I saw the doctor on Thursday, he said he wants to x-ray my foot on the 24th. At that appointment, he took out the stitches and put a cast on my foot, and calf. Based on what my x-ray shows, I may get my cast off and let me go to a boot. If that's what happens, I'll be ready to move. I will at least be here till the week of February 3rd. That is when we all go to Manhattan to celebrate my older son's 35tg birthday.

I will admit that I'm thrilled to be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

I had a busy morning ... PT and then ortho doc's appointment. I have graduated from PT and don't have to go back there. But the therapist put the ice pack on my knee after therapy and forgot to come back and take them off. So I was late getting to my appointment. That didn't last long anyway ... he pronounced me sound and said I didn't need to come back unless I had some problems. So far I'm happy with the left knee replacement, other than the swelling. 

Then I stop for a late breakfast and did some shopping at Target ... spent way too much. Also got gas, which had dropped to $3.19 again (a dime drop from Friday). Since it got so cold, I like to keep the tank full.

Nan, sorry you weren't feeling well. Trish, I know all about moms nagging, which is why I can't live with my mom. Annette, glad you are back ... eat, please ... I worry about you not eating. I eat too much, you don't eat enough. 

Can't remember everyone else. Last night was a late one and I got only about four hours of sleep. Need to nap before I go to work tonight. See y'all later. 

Good evening OFF family.

It's cold here in Michigan, I even went for a walk this morning. My doggie Jake decided he felt better and even went on a walk with me. I did have to carry him a little but I considered that my weight training! LOL. As long as Jake is wagging his tail and is able to eat and drink I'll keep my buddy around...just that he can not be in any pain. So I'm watching my boy.

Hugs and prayers for all in need. Annette, hope your love for food returns, Connie get rid of that flu, just make sure it's not turning into pneumonia.

 

Yes it is cold here.  It was 20 with a wind chill of 10 when I checked this am.  I had to go see the therapist today so I had to go out.  She had wanted to see me half way thru the Liquid diet.  I picked today as it was the anniversary of losing my Dad.  I told her I was just going to vent about the surgery center to keep my mind off it.  I just tear up ever time I think...
