Strength training after plastics

So, as my body is now I could pack on the muscle but see very little of it through my skin.  Not much motivation to work that hard at the gym.  After plastics, however, I'm wondering if it will be different.  I've made some strength gains over the years and I'm hoping those will show after the healing.

Let's say they do show but then I want to further improve my muscle tone, as now I have good motivation.  Will the extra bulk be detrimental to the skin and/or scars?

Thanx

No.  After these procedures, the six pack is very apparent, even for me a female.  Good luck.

Even though you don't see it thru the skin I would still keep up w/ the strenght training. It will make your recovery much easier because you will have strong muscles to compensate for the areas you can't use. Also it's great to see the muscles come out once the extra skin is gone.

I did strenght trainig before and now after (can't wait until I can get back after this last round) and I have my friends 16 year old daughters being envious of the guns I've got going along w/ my ab muscles ( and they are hard core athletes that play hockey and all types of sports).

Thanks for the comments.  Gives me that extra motivation keeping hitting the gym... hard.  It will be so great to finally get a little visually payoff

I keep telling people that I know I've got a six pack under here somewhere!

Agreed.  Fit individuals really change a "good" result into a "great" one.  You may have great tone and definition....but you're wearing  a "baggy sweatshirt" of skin.  So the Lycra is in your future and you'll want to look good in it !

Also, cardio-fit individuals have smoother recoveries than couch potatoes !

I can totally relate about not seeing the results before PS.  I worked out for months before I had my LBL and often felt like giving up because I couldn't see the results.  I still can't see all the results because I still need an arm lift and thigh lift, but my recovery was great.  I really feel exercise played a big role in that.  I am back at the gym and looking forward to seeing the results with my next round of plastics because the excess skin will be gone!  It will be worth it in the end!
