Too thinned skin?!

Had a consult yesterday for a breast lift with augmentation and the PS told me, due to all of the stretching out, my skin is just too thin to hold up the amount of cc's I want. :(  Sucks at the thought of spending all that money on something that isn't my ideal size.  Anyone else told this?

When I had my first discussion with my surgeon, he said he wouldn't recommend implants because of my age (54) and the condition of my skin as  a result of being obese for so long.  The skin wouldn't hold the implant and they'd sag - badly.  I wasn't interested in implants, so it wasn't a big deal to me.

Our skin condition can make a number of surgeries either impossible or higher risk.  A friend was told the same thing about the BA she wanted.  She opted for smaller implants (which have worked out ok... I think they look fine but they aren't as "perky" as she would like), but she did have healing issues with the incisions because of the poor condition of the skin.
