  Good Morning Everyone,

Hope everyone is having a good week.    We ALL have so very much in our lives to be grateful for.    This post is a reminder to everyone of that and it gives us a chance to share with others all the things that we are grateful for in our lives.    I am trying very hard to only list one thing a day this year so that I am not constantly everyday repeating what I am grateful for.    Today I am grateful for my family.   I have been married almost 35 yrs. and have 3 wonderful sons and a DIL who is expecting my first grandchild in August.    One of my son's is a Teen Challenge ( a faith based program for addicts...he was a heron addict ),    I am SO grateful for what is happening in his life.   I am SO grateful for the wonderful family that God has blessed me with.   PLEASE share with us if you will what you are grateful for today.   Share as much or as little as you like.   Have a blessed day.

 Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

Kristen,

Firstly, WELCOME to the Losers Bench in the Winners Circle!! Can't wait to see you on the bench!!

Secondly, as you said everyone is different when it comes to healing. Many factors are involved, such as how the procedure was done. For me, I was in no pain and could have went back to work in 2 days. Others I know were in pain for a month. Honestly, expect 3 to 7 days - but if it lasts longer don't be too concerned.

To speed up the healing, make sure you BEGIN MOVING AROUND. Sitting around is the worst thing. Begin walking either the first or second day. Of course I don't want you to walk 10 miles, but at least a few steps out of the house - then increase a bit longer each day.

Know we're here for you!! Keep us posted.

GOOD LUCK!!
Good Luck on your Journey !!

Tom

Let me start with this... This is my first post about the decision I have made to have this surgery done....so Im not really sure how this whole thing(blogging) works lol.

I have my surgery this Friday at 7:30!!!!!!!! I feel like a little kid going to disney for the first time,
I havent really been this excited for anything in a long time, Im finally doing something for me and
I have to tell you it feels amazing =] With that being said...I have a few questions that maybe some of you guys could help me with.

I know that everyone is different...but how long on average did it take for you to heal?
Is there anything that I should doing(other than what the doctor says) that can help the healing process ?

Thanks
Kristen =]

Among the many things I am grateful for, today I am grateful I can exercise more and have been going to the gym and doing LOTS more than before. Also, grateful my husband will finally be getting his knee replacement surgery. Also, I am very glad to be back on line. Computer was down for a couple weeks. But it is back up now.

  Good Morning Everyone,

Hope everyone had a great weekend.    Life offers us NO promises so we should be so grateful for everything that comes our way.   Today I am grateful for freedom.    Freedom from obesity ( thanks to my WLS ), freedom of speech as a American,   freedom of religion, etc.     I am grateful for so much more but I am trying to limit it to one thing this year so please don't think I am only grateful for one thing.     Please share with us if you will what you are grateful for today.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian
