I am so uncomfortable.  I have pain on my left side.  It starts on my side right near my boob and continues across my back.   It's so uncomfortable!  What the hell is it?

I'm in the process of revision.  Going through the test's needed now for a submission but that won't happen for months...

OMG im having that same pain.  I was just on the phone with my boyfriend telling him I do not know what this is.  My crap band was tight for a few months and I was throwing up everyday.  Last week I finnally got unfill and in the process of a revision.  This pain started a few weeks ago and now it wont go away.  At first I thought I was having a heart attack or stroke but my sister told me she dont think that it (She is a nurse).  If you find out what this pain is please let me know.  Im actually going to my doctor today to take test because im a little scared.

The Vagus nerves are part of the Phrenic Nerve system... and they're being irritated by the band. It feels  a lot like a heart attack... or stabbing knives through your shoulder blade. It happens all the time with banding. When you get the band removed, the pressure put on your diaphragm will be relieved.

If you have a band, it causes the top portion of your stomach to press against the diaphragm, causing pain on the left side. The Vagus nerves are to blame. It happens all the time with banding, but doctors still don't tell people about it, for some reason. I had referred left shoulder pain for years from banding complications. It stinks.

It could also be gall bladder problem, that is if you still have it.  I had to have mine removed July 2010.

246 in Dec 2008 before banded 1/28/09 at 215 lbs, band crapped 9/09 at 170 lbs and struggled with it and regained to 203 revised to bypass on 8/1/11 and am very happy.

I'm starting to think it might be my bra strap being too tight.

I had the stabbing, horrible left shoulder pain after I was banded... and then again when I got the band out.  I am now almost 2 weeks post op and the pain is mostly gone.  I do have a slight ache every time I get into bed, but if I am still for a couple of minutes, it goes away.

Good luck with this.  My guess is that it may not go away until the revision.
