question on blotted feeling
I had surgery Wed and got home yesterday. This morning I had 4 oz of applesauce with protean powder. For lunch I had 4 oz tomatoe soup and this evening 4 oz protean shake. I have a real blotted feeling as if everything is not going through. I know fluid is going because no proplem with urination. I am almost afraid to eat or drink or takr pills for fear of getting backed up. Any suggestions? How long after surgery before a BM.
If you are peeing, and you are not throwing up, it's going through. The bloated feeling may be gas left over from surgery. Walking is the best thing to get rid of gas, but you can also take Gas-ex.
Could be a day before a BM, could be a week. Everyone seems to have different experiences in that regard. If you don't feel stopped up, don't worry about it. If you do feel like you need to go but can't, then there are things you can take to help.
