I totally was there. Am kindda. I ended up having emergency surgery in October (the 22nd I think), and gained a bunch of weight (thanks to carbs). My surgeon said I needed them to heal faster. But am now back to my all time low... had hoped to hit 160 by the months end. That was my surgeons goal for me. I go for my one year weigh in, and check up on January 11th. I sense I won't be there yet, but I'm definitely working my way there now!

I had to step back, and look at the hidden calories/carbs I was eating/drinking. I found I was grazing again. So I downloaded a app for my new smart phone (gift to myself). And it's really helped me see the errors of my ways. I go no where without my phone, so each bite is documented. I've done well since starting that. I went August, September, October, and half of November without loosing, and in fact gained 12 pounds. Those are gone now. So back to loosing. I will do it. Just not in my timing. God always has his plan. I can't say I've done bad. Three major surgeries in 2011, one being my bypass, one being a bowel resection, and then 3 hernia's repaired. I feel like I've spent most of the year recovering from surgeries. And yet, I've lost almost 80 pounds since my bypass on 1/11/11.

wowsa i had to dig up my last post on this because i couldn't remember my christmas goal..but here is a quote from that post...... " So i am going to say i want to lose 30 lbs by December.  I have lost mayb 6 or 7 lbs since the original post and i am about 243 right now.  This would put me at about 220 at that point in time. "   I am now 221 so i am only 1 lb from my goal....YEAH...My next goal is to be 210 by New Years...It could happen..ha!!

I need to lose 6 more lbs to reach 50! and 9 more lbs to be at my half-way-point. I'll be happy with the 50 lb goal being met.

I just try to think of how much better I feel this Christmas! Last year, I had JUST given birth and almost weighed 300 lbs...and felt like the worst mother on Earth.

This year, I'll be on the ground playing with my kids and their new toys! Merry Christmas everyone!!

I have lost over 1/2 of my goal weight in 3 1/3 months but wanted to be down to 200 by the new year.  209 an 212 has been registering for the last week or two so I don't think I'm going to make it.  I'll be happy with 205.  I've had a couple of stalls but, at the same time, think my calorie intake is under the requirement.  Since I'm going to the gym about 4 days a week I may just be redistributing my fat in exchange for muscle.   That's my excuse.

I really wanted to be under 200 pounds by Christmas. I would have 20 more to lose and while I don't see this happening, I do know that I am going to remain positive and not going to gain any weight...as long as I keep losing and stay healthy, I have already won!

You all have such inspiring positive attitudes. I got down a little on my own, but that's when I discovered that my body has gone through a lot this year. And I'm a revision. I might not make it to goal, and that's ok. I feel good and look good too (so I'm told). So I'm good. And I'm proud of my fellow Goal seekers.

I set my goal at 250 for Christmas, then I changed it to New Years. I'm 6 lbs from that and since I usually lose 1-2 lbs a week, it could be possible.
